I just moved to Georgia, just outside Atlanta. I haven't even tried to ride yet. I used to ride at 5:30 / 6:00 AM in 70 degrees. Here it's 30 to 40 degrees, and it's often raining. The only bike clothing I own is shorts, a short sleve jersey, and cleats.
I looked through this forum, and also asked a guy at church, and I think I know what I need. I have $200 - $300 to spend. I came up with this:
Canari Classic Cycle Tight:
http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?sku=16077
Nashbar Knee Warmer:
http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?sku=4907
Nashbar Wet Weather Sock:
http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?sku=7642
Nashbar Long Sleve Basic Essential Jersey:
http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?sku=15778
Pearl Izumi Microsensor Skull Cap:
http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?sku=9934
Fox Incline Gove:
http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?sku=16228
Canari Matrix Extreme Jacket
http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?sku=15482
I'm also getting some clear sunglasses and a new cheapy healmet. It comes out to about $275.
Is the jacket too much, too little, not needed?
The product selections are made almost entirely on price and Nashbar's descriptions. I have no brand loyalty - I haven't been riding very long. Thank's to anyone that can offer suggestions. I can't wait to get back to ridding.
