Squeaky Deore XT cantilever brakes

I have a Deore XT brakes on my Bianchi Axis, and although I stopped the squeaking for awhile with KoolStop brake pads, they're still squeaking. Any suggestions on how to stop the squeaking? I'm open to replacing my front brakes at this point.

you need to angle the toe in some more so that the front of the pad hits the rim before the rest but not too much, alos scurb the pads with a brillo pad but if you have any soap or anything on that brillo pad it could make the brakes squeak more, hope that helps.

yeah, i was gonna ask if you toe-d them in or not -- but i figured you did. if not, try toe-ing them in. i have also experienced squeak-age with kool stops, and now i use cartridge style shoes w/old school shimano XTR pads. no squeak-age, and great stopping power in most conditions.

toe-in is not always the solution. ive found many times with cantilever brakes heel-in will quiet them.

but if you want new brakes id recommend pauls components. the touring brakes have more power, the neo-retros give amazing pad/rim clearance with less power than the touring. ive never had a problem with pauls squealing. i think its because they dont use a pin that goes into the canti boss, so theres less to vibrate causing the frame/brake to resonate.

I read somewhere that you're not supposed to toe-in cantilevers.
