Not sure if anyone is into science ficton, but my dad recommended the Hyperion series to read. Now, I have not really been a reader in the past few decades, but recently I have been very interested. The imagery that my mind creates is far more powerful and vivid than that of the TV. Anyway, I have been reading Hyperion for the past week, and I can't put it down. It is a very powerful story of a galaxy 700 years in the future where the world of Hyperion is taken hostage by a strange, deadly creature called the Shrike. Seven people are going to the Shrike for individual reasons, and all has a story to tell.
