In several postings regarding tires, I have seen "Tuffo's" mentioned, but not explained. What is a Tuffo -- some kind of super durable tire, or maybe liner? Are they expensive? Thanks for any info.

They are a manufactuer of tubular tyres for road, track, and cyclocross bikes. They are located in the Czech Republic. Their tyres run from $30 (S22) to about $100 (ultra-light track tyres)
Yo can see the prices for some of their products here (http://www.worldclasscycles.com/tubular-price2.htm)

TR,
Tufo is a brand of tubular tire products. HOWEVER, I think what you may be referring to is a reference in another thread to a "Tuffo" when I think, from the context, that what the person was referring to was a Mr. Tuffy tire liner. These are basically tough plastic strips that you put in your tires before inserting the tube to provide an extra layer of puncture resistance. I use them in all my tires and have been quite satisfied with them.

Raymond
