Mountain Biking - Mountain BikING pictures

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Great shots there Joe! I looked through some of my old photos and realized that I don't have many!!! I'll definately start bringing the camera with me on every ride... Some of my stuff is on slide film and I don't have a scanner at the house; but here is what I do have at the moment!

Wish I were craftier at the whole posting photos thing...
the first shot is Me on the Pioneer Trail in Grass Valley
the second, is an old friend also on the Pioneer Trail
the third, is a few of my freakier friends at Burning Man 2002!
p.s. how do you post more than one image in each post? How do you keep it under 100k? How do you title them individually?
Peace,
Mike

I love mtb photos! I have a load of them on my site (It's in my sig)... It's great going back through old photos to see how much better you can ride, and how your bike changes over the seasons... you can say, wow, remember that Headset, or so glad I lost those bars! :)

MtbKanata, I am gonna sound ******** here but I lived in Onterrible for 25 years and I travelled quite a bit but can't figure out in my head where you are. I can't even place the name. Unless you are really far north near Nipigon?
I have never been stumped by a town name in Ontario thats really weird
nm - near Ottawa. That would explain it. I only ever made it east a few times, once was this summer for a wedding and the other Iwas like 2. :)

N* is a great place to ride, very different from Big Bear. It's tight singletrack with lots of rocks and roots and plenty of drops to have fun on.

Never been to big bear either. The extend of my riding was a little in Ontario (mostly street with a mtb) and then moved to Whistler doing xc and freeriding and a little in Squamish, pemberton and north shore. I plan to start traveling next year but there are SOOO many spots to bike here that are really awesome it is hard to justify a trip. I still haven't been to Nelson, I want to go to Northshore more, Vancouver Island. Soo many place and way to much damn work :)

Yeah, Kanata is just West of Ottawa, 3 minutes or so... Now that we are all one Mega-city, it's all Ottawa, but we keep the Kanata name! :)

You live in Mt. bike heaven...I'm hoping to do a trip to Whistler next year. Can't wait...everybody I've talked to says Whistler is the *****

Then I won't comment. Well I will. Wicked xc, sweet dh, freeriding. Endless sites and when the mountain closes if you know a local there is just as many free runs as there are mountain runs. Take a trip into the mountains and bike up black tusk mountain. There really is an endless supply of biking. I have been biking here since may and hve maybe seen 10% of the trails.
Then of course you are only 2 hours from the 'shore' which is the best manmade freeriding in the world. Or you can jet to Nelson for some of the trickiest manmade freeriding. Oh jeez...now I need to go for a ride...:D...

Sweet Drop....
That's something that I still suck at...doing drops...I'll be working on those skills over the winter....
My method of doing drops usually involves pedalling as fast I can towards it then chickening out at the last moment, slamming my brakes on too late and nose diving down the drop.

Sweet Drop....
It is actually a jump. It is a mound of dirt that has been there for years that is approximately 15' high. the pic was shot a little soon because you fly over the back side if you are carrying any kind of speed. It is fun though.
