Howdy.

I'm looking at getting a good mountain bike, and have my sights set on a Norco BushPilot.
I have noticed a bit of criticism about the front suspension which comes with them, the SR Suntour fork.
Could someone clear up whether they are complete trash or of an acceptable standard for a novice trail rider? I live in Tasmania, there arn't any specialised trails, but some can get pretty rough.
Appreciate feedback. Cheers.

Thanks fubar, just what I wanted to hear.

If this is your first bike, or your first bike with a suspension fork, or your first bike that isn't from a department store, there is nothing wrong with the fork. Reviews are usually written by people who have experience on many forks, including very expensive forks, and they tend to over-critisize low-end stuff. MY brother has the Suntour fork you're speaking of and it work like a charm for him. As you become a better rider you will probably decide to get a higher-end fork.
