Bicycle Mechanics - stupid question, bb threading

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
if all I know is that the threading on the BB is 1.37x24 could it be anything but english? the frame is in the mail so I can't check but want to order a bb so it is here in time.

You are referencing an English threaded bottom bracket. The next question would be “what is the bottom bracket shell width?” Some BB’s can accommodate 70 mm or 68 mm. (FSA Megaexo.)
there is no such thing as an english threaded 70mm wide bottom bracket.
if it's a 70mm wide bottom bracket it's got italian threading.
68 and 73 are generally english, with 68 being most popular on road bikes and 73 on mountain bikes. there's one or two that are wider yet that are used on freeride and downhill bikes.
