Performance can go **** itself.
Situation one:
I placed an order the week before chrismas. It didn't get shipped until something like January 29th. Then they shipped it to the wrong address. Apparently they reverted back to some old saved address as opposed to the one I typed in. This was not a real problem. I just went to the post office and made sure they were still forwarding my mail. When the package arrived however, it was missing half the order. I called and informed them of this and they promised to fix it. I told them about the previous address problem, and the woman helping me claimed to have fixed that as well. But about a week later I get a call from fedex saying they have a package for me, but no apartment number. Also, the street was labelled "west" was opposed to north or south as it should be. I was still forgiving and blamed a lot of it on the holidays.
So, situation two:
Much shorter, pretty much I placed an order several days ago and they still haven't processed it.
I know that it might seem like I am overly sensitive about this, but let me explain what I mean by the title of this thread. Sure I am complaining about Performance, but it is more praising a local shop. While I was sitting here waiting for things from online to come. I also ordered some stuff from two seperate bike shops in town. (what can I say, I ended up having more money than I thought I would this month) Both of these shops cut me a fairly good deal making the stuff nearly as cheap as online if not cheaper. Both shops called me at least once to make sure everything was correct before phoning the order in and updating me on status. Without paying any shipping, stuff gets here in two or three days. I just have to wonder why I ever mess around with performance when I get such good service in town.
*well, I am sure the reason is because I can sit at work and shop for crap... or buy stuff after a few night time beverages when the inhibitions are lower.
