just wanted to share some pics of what arrived today... :D special thanks to absenter for the appraisal that gave me the initative to purchase this beauty!

the only sad thing is that the pedals are too small and i will likely be selling them to be replaced by eggbeaters. not pictured, but soon to also be for sale will be a tioga carbon fibre seatpost (27.2) because i need something bigger.

i'll put more pictures up once all the components come together. i'm not well versed in the pricing of vintage-ish components, so what're the pedals worth?

(and what do you mean, the pedals are too small?)

we need to know what kind of pedals, and condition, before we can give offer to buy them from you for pennies on the dollar :D

no problem, despite what some folks think, not ALL the bikes on here pass through my hands. some go through raygunner or gravityhurts :D

i wear size 13 shoes and so, pardon the pun, i don't want to have to shoehorn my shoes in there every time. even with the straps fully extended it's tight. that, and i like the feel of clipless. but i really like the classic look too.... i honestly don't know what kind of pedals they are other than campagnolo but can contact the seller to try and get more info. i'd say they're mint/near mint and i don't think they've ever been ridden on.

as for pics, i haven't put everything together yet because the tires need to be reglued, but i should have that done in the next couple days. here's a couple more teasers from flickr...

wow, a NOS frame! score my friend!

i'd try getting longer straps and XL toeclips if you want to ride those pedals, that SHOULD work even with your huge feet...

ok, those look like record pista pedals, with ALE(?) clips.

i'd say try it w/ the campy pedals. if you decide you hate them you can always sell them, but once you sell them they're hard to get back

quite true. i'll give them a shot. i found somewhere on the net that was selling those 'alfredo binda' straps for $25...

still no ideas on what model?

Nice score. L toe clips fit my size 11's fine, so just get XL
clips from Ben's bike and some double straps (or just 2 straps
on each pedal) and you're golden. And don't believe the negative hype
on using tubies on the road. I'm going back to using tubies as soon as
I get the new whip.

that's *so* my size. Consider this a formal request to "borrow" it for my house scouting mission.

haha... i think these pics make it look a little larger than it actually is? it was sold as 60cm and is stamped on the bb as "P60", but i'm yet to measure it myself. i'm 6'4" and this is a bit smaller than my other bike, but it was too good to pass by

there's no velodrome near here unfortunately, despite my sincere wishes to get into the sport. it won't be a daily ride by any means, but i may take it out to the alleycat or the 'ghettodome'

haha... i won't say no, but i'm not saying yes either. ;-)

Ah, yes, the Cherubim. I know it. Look forward to seeing that one built up. Dude, send me pics of the merckx conversion! I want to know what you did with the frame that is now 3rd-gen BF and was once mine...
