No-nose saddles suck. I'm going to say it right now. They suck. Well, most of them. I haven't yet tried the unseat (SellPROUST), or the BiSaddle. But besides that, all the noseless saddles on the market now suck real hard.
Which sucks just as bad, cause I had some really kicking prostitis, which precipitated my getting a SpongieWonder. I thought it was the best thing in the world when I got it, but after a few miles, my wrists didn't agree. neither did my performance. I was slow and rocky. I got used to it, which made me real strong. but I was still slow.
i was resigned to being on the outside, to being slow, to having my seat gawked at and old men asking a million questions. that is, until i got the trico split rail. that little dealie is awesome. just awesome. I love it. i'm just saying that you don't need to compromist performance and function (if you know what i mean). take my work for it, this thing is pretty good. and i'm a good person to know, seeing as how I 1) ride between 30 and fifty miles a day for work and 2) have been to more doctors for my "problem" than a 22 year-old should.

Looks interesting, and certainly got a good fedback on the web.
Here is my question (a seat on my commuter bike is reaching end of life) - would you recommend split rail also for a commuter bike?

I've been there with the prostititus. Lots of antibiotics and a couple months later, I felt much better. I try not to sit too long now and eat lots of fruits and veggies. It's been about a year since I had a problem. The exam method is enough incentive to try and stay healthy. I hope the split rail will help your problem.

The saddle on your commuter bike should be just as comfortable as the saddle on a road or mtn bike.
