clip less shoes, got to love them, you can push , you can pull.. you can accerate so much faster with these.. clip less shoes got to unclip then within 1 second warning when someone opens his driver door while parked on the said of the street, if you cant react on time.. ouch..

I've got an awful lot of scars on my knees(elbows, hips, shoulders, etc.) thanks to mine.:D

Heh, one word for easy unclipping....eggbeaters.
I have never seen an easier to unclip pedal...I do find the cleats to be a bit fast wearing though.
I've had my scrapes, bruises, and a few scars from unclippings gone wrong.

Eggbeaters make unclipping very easy, I agree. I surprise myself now, when i am about to crash my feet unclip as a reaction. It happens very fast.
But for hte first month, i got a decent share of bruises and scrapes on my side from falling. Of course i got the infamous scenario where you are on the ground, feet still attached to pedals

That's a given early on.
Oddly enough, in the more than 15 or so years of using clipless pedals, I've never been stuck in them during a high-speed crash. Somehow I've always managed to automagically disengage my feet. And most of my crashes are during MTBing. OTOH, the times I have been stuck was usually during low-speed slow falls aggrevated by my attempts to struggle out of my pedals. I've come to the conclusion that had I not thought about trying to get my feet out, I would not have been stuck. Sometimes it's best to just let second-nature take its course. There's that saying about how to get a millipede to come to a crashing halt: ask it in which order it moves its legs.
The one situation in which I can become truly stuck in my pedals is when I happen to have my crank just in the right position while turning at just the right angle and the toe-overlap wedges my toe against the front tyre. At this point, my velocity is killed so there goes my gyroscopic balancing force and I can't rotate my foot to get it to disengage from the pedal so I'm stuck. The next thing to happen is usually me going down still attached to the bike. This only occurs during a slow-speed tight-turn when I'm not mindful of my crank position.
