Hi Telenick, didn't I meet you at Maria's in Santa Fe during the Santa Fe century?
You'll have to educate me as to the meaning of your statment above.

Hi Telenick, didn't I meet you at Maria's in Santa Fe during the Santa Fe century?
You'll have to educate me as to the meaning of your statment above.
I meant to say: I bought a black Swift from your shop.
Thanks for a smooth transaction.
Did we meet at Maria's at the last SFC? I was there inside Maria's the night before the ride enjoying a little food and a marg. I believe it hailed that night. I have the hood dent to show for it. ;)
Any chance you're going to the Moab Skinny Tire Festival in March? I'll be there.
Ranger,
Email a request for a price list.
Telenick. Yes, I do remember you from the Maria's supper where it hailed. The dinner attendees were a very nice group of folks, wish we had had more time to socialize. However, one of the guys visited with us at the store afterwards. It was great, he loved the shop and returned to Oregon where he paved the way for us to start selling Bike Fridays.
No, will not be making it to Moab this year.
Hope you enjoy your new saddle. Any problems let me know. You can get my attention fairly directly at wpflem@sfbikes.com.

Perhaps that was Shifty. He's from Oregon and he was at the dinner. Super nice guy that Shifty.
I can't wait to break in the saddle while riding rollers. Not too much road cycling in Leadville right now ...plenty of snow though.

Yes that would be Shifty. I agree, he is a very fine fellow.
Okay, we've had a big demand for the price list so we are giving in and putting it up at this site:

This sale will end at the end of February; nonetheless, we want to be a major player in the Brooks Saddle business in part because we really love Brook Saddles, so we will continue to have very competitive prices throughout the year.
I got my Brooks B-17 today. Good price, excellent service. Thanks!
Still waiting for mine.
They use Fedex, so you can ask for a tracking number to watch your saddle riding to you.
Got mine yesterday. First impression:
Damn this thing is hard! I thought it was made from plastic. Then I touched it again and knocked on it with my knuckles and I concluded that it's made from rocks!

Cadd,
Hopefully it will soften out for you after a bit of riding. Store Manager called me today and told me that we can't get any more of the presoft ones in. Not sure if they are going to quit making or if it's just a distributor issue.

Hopefully, I'll be able to break it in soon. I'm hoping that this saddle will be the last saddle I purchase :)

Sale ends 2/28/06.Yes you have! I ordered a B17 from you and it arrived the other day. Thanks!
I recently bought a bike that came with a nearly new B-17. Took it off and turned it over to look for the oak. Ended up selling it to some guy who weighs, maybe, 150. So, I just e-mailed for a quote on a nice new B-67. That'll do the trick. :)
I reported that we couldn't get in the pre-aged saddles, that is no longer true as of today. Our supplier has just gotten a new shipment.
We can get in the pre-aged B17 and B67.
I guess tomorrow is the last day of the sale....
Thanks for the great service and the snazzy swift and team pro!

And thank you. It has been a good sale. We will raise prices a bit on 3/1/06, but we'll keep them very competitive. We would like to be known forevermore as a great place to buy a Brooks Saddle.

I'll be calling you again some time soon.
Why no Swallows for sale?!
Why no Swallows for sale?!
We have two main wholesalers, neither of them are offering the Swallow. I'd like to offer everything Brooks has, but getting our hands on some of the saddles is not easy. I suppose the wholesaler has to buy a certain quantity and so they go with the most popular models.
Yes, the Swallow is expensive so there would be fewer being sold.
The Febraury sale is over. We raised prices only a little so we should still have some of the best Brooks Saddle prices you will find anywhere.

If you get in some Swallow Classic's, I might be inclined to buy one...
I'm trying. The distributor was supposed to get back in touch with me, but hasn't. I'll try to call again tomorrow. After all Wurm, how can a retailer of Brooks saddles have any self-respect when he has no Swallows Classics for sale?

A good question! ;)
Wurm, thanks for the push. At last I now have my self-respect back. I went searching today and found some Swallows so next week we should have them in the store, one each of black, brown, and honey.
You can see our very competititive pricing at: http://www.sfbikes.com/brooksaddlesforeversale.htm
Veddy good, sir! I've got you bookmarked, and may be placing an order sometime soon.
Keep up the good work! :)

Wurm, I just ran across Nashbar's price for the Swallow. Their price makes our price look like a giveaway, and so many think Nashbar is such a good place to buy.

.
I could not find the Brooks B17 special(the one with copper rivets) on your site, also are you guys planning to have your sale again, if yes, when is it going to be.
thanks;

I've noticed that to be the case for Nashbar for some time now. I don't know what's going on over there, but many items are no longer the "great deals" that they've built their rep on.
So if you're not getting some ultra low price from them then why bother (?), because it's not like they have the best customer service either.
One more Q, wpflem: are you going to be getting in the Team Pro w. ti rails?
I've had a Swift since last fall but it's not exactly fitting as well as I thought it might. I'm going to try the Swallow next and if that isn't 'THE' saddle for me, then I'll probably go back to the Pro - and this time of course that means titanium!! :)
BTW: I appreciate your timely replies and concern for trying to provide for us what many shops will not or cannot.

Ravi,
We really plan on having an ongoing and likely perpetual sale now. You will note that our prices are quite low and well within the sale range; however, we did raise prices and shipping modestly from February. I don't know what we'll do in the future, but I may do a few things to keep site active and worth revisiting.
I thought there might some interested in the Super Pista Pump sale, but no go so far. The response has been most anemic. I guess floor pumps don't matter.
We don't have the saddle you mention above in stock, but it's no problem getting it in promply. There are so many Brooks saddle options; for a store our size, it's just impractical to try to stock them all. One of our distributors is the largest importer of Brooks Saddles in the USA, they assured me today that they can generally supply us with anything we want.
I'll soon put up a revised list with a price on the "Brooks B17 special(the one with copper rivets)."
We have a most interesting shop in Santa Fe, so I'm hoping to get enough attention that we become a must-stop place for bikers who visit our town.

Wurm, somebody wrote wanting a Colt. I couldn't find them anywhere. I finally learned that they have been discontinued, but I bet there are still a few of them out there for sale in a few shops around the country.
As I said before, we've now got access to ALL the Brooks saddles in current production. We can't really stock them all and in all colors, but we can now get them in quickly as we did with the Swallows you suggested.
http://www.sfbikes.com/brooksaddlesforeversale.htm
AFAIK, Colts can still be had at permaco.com, so maybe you could pass that along. Charlie there is good to deal with as well, and he has better pricing than Wallingford but not the 6-Months NQA Refund policy.
I'll be e-mailing you soon on a Swallow. :) Gotta get some computer parts done first, and 2 or 3 new sew-ups. Spring is coming, and my Boras are crying out for a ride!
Cool, thanks, wpflem. Yeah, folks are not in the market for floor pumps very often.
Swallow saddles are no longer coming as a kit with the maintenace products. Apparently, the Proofide dressing and wrench were getting loose in shipment and marring the saddles. Thus, the maintence kit and wrench must now be purchased separately. Hopefully, Brooks will eventually redo their packaging of the elegant Swallow.
If anyone is uncertain about what Brooks Saddle to buy, keep in mind that we offer a one time 90 day return-for-exchange option.

Santa Fe Bikes is the real deal. They gave me: quick responces to my e-mails, great price, fast delivery, toll free phone number, and if you love your Brooks saddles like I do you know they are worth every cent of the cost. Brooks already had a loyal customer. Now Santa Fe Bikes does too.

So there's no need to go to Wallingford if you're not sure about which Brooks will fit you  - unless you want to try out 3 or 4 different models. :crash:
