I currently have fake shutters(i.e. non-functional) that are made of vinyl or some other plastic. One got blown off by a storm and I realized I just don't like the look of them. Never really paid that much attention to them until now. I don't see that I would need fully functioning shutters here(middle Tennessee), but I don't know if I should leave the front of the house bare or what. It's brick, by the way--basically traditional red mix, I guess. If I do replace them, I think I'd go with metal/heavier plastic since wood would require so much more care. I'm lazy...which leads me to believe I should just let the thunderstorms blow them off and hope they don't hit anybody.;) What would you guys suggest?

For some reason, I don't like houses without shudders. I'd go up to the house and slap that person but my disgust won't let me within 10 yards of the offense.

Was that helpful? :D

We'll lets see here Mint Jelly, you could take some pastel paint and paint pretty flowers all around the windows. How about making shutters out of roadkill skins and get a native american look? I'm just tryin' to help out.
