Crash.
Let's put it this way...if it has wheels, I've gotten seriously injured on it. The local ER knew me on a first name basis growing up.
Double D...it stands for Dumb "arse" Dixon. One of my friends has a lot of cool nicknames. He is known as Petunia(some kind of inside joke, involving his penis), Beetleman, Russell the Love Muscle, and some others I can't think of off hand.
I was dubbed 'Porkchop' at work soon after I started there. My coworkers (a small team) have a wierd sense of humor. I've yet to get a straight answer from them how they came up with that. My boss has called me chewbacca a couple times due to the way my voice carries. Of course I get "fish" a lot due to my last name, but that's not so much embarassing. Of course the fiancee calls me all kinds of cutesy names. But she's allowed.

I really tried not to like your posts, but, for some reason, I can't help myself. I like your style.:) Plus, you could probably take me, so I don't want to get you riled up. Closest thing to a duathlon I've done lately was cooking a steak dinner last night. Whew, that was rough...

Embarresing nickname? Hmmmmm.... That's a tough one. The only current nickname I have is OK with me, 'Big Al'.
To identify an embarresing one I have to go back many years ago, (when I was thin). I had one really annoying nickname, 'Greasy'. I was called Greasy partly because I'm half Italian and partly because I used to like working on cars. I picked up the name when I went to college in Ohio. Fortunately, it never stuck after graduation. It was a real pain to be on a date and have a freind yell 'Hey Greasy'. I found most young women were not real enthused about the name 'Greasy'. Can't imagine why.

Don't think I've ever had a particularly embarressing nickname... the only nickname I've ever had that I can think of is "gorilla". That came from a friend who spent a lot of time working on cars with me. I think it started after I broke some 7/16th bolts by overtightening .

You guessed it. Eating it was much easier than preparing it, tho. It was a small tenderloin filet...tasty!

My first job was a bill runner at a freightline. I hustled paperwork from where the truckers checked in to the gate office to be processed. I was constantly moving. I have always been energetic. Some persons there jokingly started calling me "lugnuts" because being as a human courier I was lugging my nuts.
This lasted for about two weeks until one of the old timers had enough of it and he felt it was of low character. He asserted his respected opinion and started calling me "catfish."
I am not sure which nickname was better.
