Classic & Vintage - The official unofficial Schwinn Paramount Owners Group!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I registered!
I have a 72 Paramount, not totally original with some added braze ons (not by me) but it still is a beautiful ride!

Me and my '61 P-12 rustbucket have checked in!
Thank you very much for forming the Unofficial POG!

Yah, I am now Lukeroonio, as some fool has already adopted every other variation of Luker that I could think of.
I'll post some pictures when I get out from under all of this crap I seem to have gotten myself under.
Love the rustbucket one! Rust color coordinates perfectly with the copper paint...
What is the crankset?
Oh, here's mine a 73 chrome triple and a track.

But it's in a better state of build than my '66 in the same color. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CRANKS! ;)

P.S. Pardon the wheels. They are temps off a Le Tour!
Those are great-looking bikes, guys. The nearest thing I own is my "team USA" red-white-and-blue 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10 mountain bike, successor to the 1987 Paramountain as Schwinn's top-of-the-line ATB.

It's an old, three-pin, steel Stronglight.
I plan to restore this one "backwards" to my normal restoration process, and hunt down all the parts before I have the framebuilder replace the seat and top tubes, and a new paintjob sprayed on it.
It'll be a loooong while (and a lot of money spent!) before she sees the road again...
Take care,
-Kurt
