Bicycle Mechanics - mtb maint sites

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
anyone know of a good 'how to' site for mtb maint?
it seems something on my new bike needs adjusting everytime i ride. the disc brakes are always quite before and scraping after the ride ... my derailers end up rubbing the chain ... etc.
the shop i bought it from gives me free adjustments for life but i don't want to take a trip over there every time i ride.
i'm mainly looking for how tos on adjusting disc brakes, derailers, and the likes.
thanks all!
Go to Google and do a search for Sheldon Brown, I believe you will find something there for maintenance.

Park Tools has some good maintenance info too.
http://www.parktool.com/
message boards at www.mtbr.com use to be some real gearheads there that knew everything mountain bikey.
shakes;
I highly recommend obtaining a copy of Zinn & the Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance (3rd Edition) by Lennard Zinn. $22 for 350 pages of maintenance wisdom is a worthwhile investment. Zinn has a pleasant writing style and if you're new to maintenance he does an outstanding job of both orientation and method. This is very reassuring owing to tasks that many times appear simple end up occasionally being complex pursuits. Cheers;

I would normally recommend ridemonkey. But they aren't excepting new members. Some of the brightest gearhead/engineers hang out there. :)
