Mountain Biking - New found trail...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well, it is known about but the wife and I went down it for the first time today. I was expecting a some what technichal trail but damn, it was much more then I expected. I had no gear with me and the main point was to get some pics of the trail so the riders in our club could decide if they wanted to give it a go. Well here are a few pics.
She thought about it but did not follow through

It looks like a fun trail from a technical standpoint. Any estimations how long it is and if it ever does flatten out?

Yehaw...that looks wicked if it is all like that I hope it isn't much more than 20k cause that would be a killer :D
I don't even know if that qualifies as a "trail" :) perhaps road to oblivion or something like that would be better

Whoa! Where is that?! If we had trails like that here in Ottawa, I would be one happy rider! No more jumping around in the cement jungle!

A nice way to test your new downhill or freeride rig I would assume. Now you could be super ballsy and hit that on a SS with a rigid fork.

This particular section is 1 mi long. There are alot of trails around here that are similer but not quite as rocky. Most of them are single track with drops ranging from 2' for the beginers all the way up to 20' for the "Braver" souls. The longest trail being about 3 mi long.
This trail is shorter then the others but it works the bikes a hell of a lot more. Most riders that ride from top to bottom usually have to replace a rim or two. The club I ride with is going there this weekend to shoot some video. I shall post pics after.
