I have decided to get the 2002 Giant Iguana 21 inch frame non disc. :D Just got done talking to the LBS I am going to work thru, and he is trying to locate the bike for me. I hate waiting to find out when he is getting it tho. However, I don't have the cash right now either (don't believe in credit), so I will be putting the bike on layaway for a couple of weeks. This sucks.

However, being of larger size did come in handy when it came to shoes. I picked up a pair of the specialized closeout shoes. Ordered them midday friday and they showed up this morning... W00t!

Can't wait to get to start riding :D

I know what you mean. I finally got my bike on Friday after about 3 weeks. I'll tell you what. That first ride makes all the waiting worth it!

I feel your pain. I put a Giant XTC 2 on layaway last week. I keep wanting to go to the shop just to look at "my" bike, but I will just have to wait until my wife lets me have the money to pay it off. BTW, I agree with your stance on credit cards. I don't have the will power to carry around a wallet full of "easy money".

Yep, know how you feel. I ordered a new Specialized Epic Disc last week from my LBS. Put down a substantial down payment on it. I've heard all the small parts to build the bikes are waiting on container ships which are due to be offloaded because of the longshoreman work stoppage. I just want the bike before Xmas. Yep, I hate waiting also.

I share in the pain. I am waiting for the team order to go through for our college team. But the university decided to takeover all club sponsorships and you know how bureaucracy is. If only we all had magic genie lamps that popped out bikes once a day. That would be the life .....

The waiting game. Last year, I test rode a Rocky Mountain Blizzard. I'm picky about my frame geometry and I found that this frame worked for me, so I really wanted it. Well, I put down $500 USD and waited for the frame to come in. 2 weeks later, they call and tell me that the frame is on backorder for, get this, 8 MONTHS!.

I really hope you get your bike. Nothing bites more than waiting to find out that you can't get it.

ps. I got a refund and, in my impatience, bought a frame that didn't fit right, then turned around and sold it 2 months later.

I know the EXACT feeling dude. I've been trying to sell my bike for the past 3 MONTHS so I can get my new BigHit Comp...

The price is right on my Enduro, it's in beutiful shape, but the whole economy sucks eggs right now... so no one's buying anything...

so yeah. I'm becomming more and more frustrated, pissed off, and not happy every day.... because it's like being able to TOUCH the bike.. but not ride it.. ya know what I mean?

The BigHit Comp's $1500 .. and I have $575 saved up... and all's I gotta do is sell my Enduro and BAM! it's mine...

but NOOOO! No one'll buy my enduro! And the thing's in REALLY GOOD SHAPE, works PERFECT, no flaws!

I JUST DONT GET IT!
