In the desert? No, it's flat as a pancake with some stiff crosswinds. Perfect early season tune up.

Those winds are nasty. Every year you see pictures of multiple groups all echeloned over the road. Then when the gaps grow trying to bridge is a nightmare - no hills required!
3 from 3 - Boonen is the man !

Love this race. It's all about the crosswinds.
Go Boonen, go Boonen, go Boonen!

How is he winning so early in the season?? Granted he is a worthy world champ, but already? Do sprinters try to peak for the grand tours like the GC guys, or is sprinting a different discipline entirely?

Because this guy is THE one-day rider of the moment. You don't win the Ronde, Roubaix and Worlds in one season unless you're pretty special.
Expect another massive haul of wins in 06 from the the world champ.

Isn't Boonen just barely out of the cradle? Like what 25 or 26?
why can't he be 30-something and single? :)
