Howdy -
I'm building up an old hardtail with cantilevers, and wanted to see if anyone has any experience with or opinions about the Cane Creek SCX-5 (http://canecreek.com/scx-5.html)...wondering if they are just a rebadged Tektro or are better than the Avid Shorty (which squeals).
Thanks for any help!

I have a pair on my San Jose.....they are a bit soft for my taste. The Tektros are not a rebadge. I'm going to swich over to the Shorty 6 for my Ridely. Regarding the squeeking.......sometime a change in pads does the trick.
As far as I can see and tell they are the same as the Avid Shorty 4's on my Kona...they work and squeal the same (they don't)...I guess I set them up well on both bikes (Kona has Avid, Tom's Gunner has Cane's)
