Classic & Vintage - help me identify a colnago from late 80:ies

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

thanks Marty for pushing me to he right direction.
I bought the bike for 222e including delivery.
now it would be nice to know more/something about it.
any useful links? how to get more info on this frame please share!!
iam running short of ideas, where and how to turn to??
Rikardo,
post some pics please.
I think from what you described the bike is gilco tubing. Round where
the tubes join but there are channels in the tube so the cross section
would almost be star shaped?
You can also go to http://search.bikelist.org/ and search Classic Rendezvous
for "Gilco" and "Colnago" (enter search like that).
also www.classicrendezvous.com is a good resource and
the list that they run (intsructions on their web page) suggest that
you get digest form unless you like tons of email.

The Bike arrived, and thanks again for the "good buy" comment .
I am extremely happy and proud owner and very eager to take to the nice long summer ride.
Just hope that the snow would melt soon and it would get tad warmer than -20c
I think she is a colnago essamexico somewhere between 1987-1989
the front shifter,bars,brakes,stem are originalparts
the rest is newer additions.I hope that i find campa r der from somewhere?? the shimano sora is not good match with the frame.
