I'm looking for someone with some experience with these cool looking pedals.
In a Forum Search I have found a few people talk about the pedals, it seems like no one actually had the clipless ones (though some have spoken well of the MKS quick release <labelled EZ by MKS> regular platform pedals). I guess that these clipless MKS have been either hard to get, or possibly they've been non-existent (referred to as vapor-ware in the software world).
I see them here:
http://www.calhouncycle.com/
and I've checked to see if they were real or virtual and they have them in stock, my only hesitation is that I haven't found anyone that has used the MKS clipless pedal. They look like the ticket for me and my Xootr. Would someone please point out to me that these are as great as I dream them to be!

Their shop (Calhoun Cycle) is not too far from me. I looked at the pedal and they looked quite nice. They are especially interesting to me since I alread have 2 sets of their QR pedals so they all use the same EZ coupler. As of now I haven't bought a set yet since it is still slick here and I prefer "normal" pedals when it's snowy and icy out. They definitely looked nice in person but I can't attest to their performance. I have had great luck with the other MKS QR pedals I have.

they are not Vapourware. I do have some on order, and a fewEuro People who sold them , liked them a lot ....
however they are hard to come by for sure. I am emailing back and fort since months, now..latest date is march ( obvoiusly they only make them if they have a couple hundred on order ,,, I assume anyhow

thor

p.s. they are similar to spd but not exaclty , they come with their own cleats

Thor,
Are you a shop or manufacturer?
Is it MKS that you are e-mailing?
Just curious because you mention that they won't be available until March, yet Calhoun Cycle has them now.

Just wanted to add that Calhoun has several pairs in stock of these pedals. They do come with the cleats and NO SPD cleats will not work. Spare cleats aren't currently available for them but should be in the next few months.

well I am a shop .... somewhat .... I also import bicycle parts and motorcyale parts and sell to wholesale distributors and manufactueres ... I am also sometimes a manufacture as I have special things made for me exclusively .... I also am good friends with Dahon ,and although I dont get a price break from them I sometimes get a good deal on a scrach and no-dent bike from them ...

tomaso ... yes please your account number, social security, pin code numbers and so forth ...lol Thanks mate, apreciated :-)

Yes I talk directly to MKS in Japan expecting shipment end of feb with new pedals and all spare parts , like extra cleats, and extra crank inserts ... ( if you have a couple bikes )

Thanks Thor
