I was about to start getting ready for my ride (to start at about 1:30) when the power suddenly goes off. I live on 12th floor of an appartment building. Meaning that brining the bike up or down 12 flights of emergency stairs is less than not fun. By the time the power came on, I didn't have enough time to get a real ride in. Was this fate? Was I protected from something horrible happening?

Clearly you were protected from something...

You said it yourself, carrying your bike down...

If you had brass ones (and a good DH bike) you'da rode it down.
:D

Sounds like it was fate.

I take this as evidence to my theory that everyone should have a good pulley system on their balcony. That, or a second (7th) junk bike they can leave outside.

I think you should live on the first floor, and use times that are not often used (like 1:27 and 12:23) you know, so god can't pull little tricks
