So, after going down to visit True North Cycles so they can get shots of my bike I decided I need a wayyyyy stiffer stem. Another bike there prompted this decision. Along with a new bar, a 3T pista, I need a good stem. Anybody got any recomendations on a half decent stem? I run a 95mm lengh 15deg rise to combat the ultra stupid drop in my Tange bar.

Thanks!

Quill? Threadless?
Does color matter?
What stem did you have that was not stiff enough for you?
What stem did the other bike which prompted the decision have?

I guess I should have mentioned that.....whoops

I have a fairly nice threadless Axiom(Norco brand) MTB stem with a 1" shim in it. The Stem on the bike I tried was a Cadence(Marinoni brand). It was definatly beefier looking. Black is prefered. Do many people run Thompson Stems on track?
