i got this problem, i just keep forgetting to eat. sometimes i'll forget to eat in an entire day, and then i feel faint and sick from the lack of food. riding my bike a lot just makes it worse. i just keep neglecting to eat, probably because i am lazy.
anyone else with this problem?

foget to eat? next you'll ask if we forget to drink beer. Madness I tell you!
I do that on occassion. For some reason I can shut down my hunger response and go without eating a couple meals during the day. I ALWAYS eat breakfast, but if I'm stressed from work, etc., that's the only meal I'll eat. Doesn't happen often, which is a good thing, because my body tends to lose weight really fast. When I do get hungry after that, I'll clean out the refrigerator though.

like today, for example, i have only had a single clementine to eat, and that was 9 hours ago.
There are occasions I forget to eat, but usually it is the exact opposite... I can eat all day.

I haven't; I get pretty grumpy when my blood sugar dips, so I at least have to snack through out the day.
My brother, on the other hand, is terrible for remembering to eat! and he used to run marathons...wondering why he'd bonk during training! silly boy!
you may have to put yourself on a schedule. set the timer on your watch and have some breakfast bars or energy bars available so at least you are eating something.

It happens to me occasionally. After not eating for about 20 hours, I often start not really noticing. I used to sometimes do it on purpose, too. Sometimes because in my kart racing days, I would try to shed some weight for certain races this way. Sometimes because when I was really upset in college, I would occasionally silently protest the way the world is treating me by not eating and by not checking e-mail.
By the way, as an amusing side-note, another way people would know if I was really disturbed was when I started studying for unusually long periods of time to try to block out whatever was on my mind.

Oh man! Where do I go to learn how to forget to eat? Then maybe I could lose some weight! :D

how did that work for you? did letting your in box fill up with spam and your tummy growling change anything about the way the world is turning? :D I could not ever go 20 hours...hours! without eating, unless I was very ill. wow!

Well, this was back before spam was a major issue. And back when most people checked e-mail by logging on a remote Unix box, so people would "finger" each other to see when they last logged on (and to see if they were on to "talk"). I would occasionally FTP my mailbox to my computer so that there was no evidence through "finger" of me logging on if I needed to check to see if I had any important mail. (But I didn't have any mail programs on my computer, so I would parse the large text file manually.) Not logging on was my way of telling my friends that I'm unhappy but don't want to talk about it. I didn't need to say anything to get that point across... they figured it out pretty quick. In fact, the first time I did this, one of them e-mailed me to see if I was okay, but noted that she didn't expect a reply seeing as I wasn't checking my e-mail.
As for not eating, except my occasional protests or when slimming down for kart racing, the first 16 hours or so of long periods without food would usually be because I got busy and didn't get around to eating. Then my body's hunger signals tend to shut off, so up to 48 hours wasn't such a big deal to me (though it disturbed my friends like crazy). I once went 71 hours without eating. It was near the end of freshman year of college, when I was a bit busy with some major assignments and ended up deciding to either nap or work every time it was mealtime. When my roommates asked me if I wanted to go to dinner 71 hours later (perfectly routine... they had no clue that I hadn't eaten for a while), I realized I hadn't eaten for a really long time and that perhaps eating something would be a good idea.

Like elephants, I rarely forget such things. Everything should be regimented to prepare for 'the ride'. You never know when the '100 year ride' will come, you must be prepared. The carbs, protein and hours of meditation must be in place for when it is called for.

Without food, you have no 'fuel' to ride. Consider an analogy with race cars, what purpose would they perform without gas? None. This is not bedrock, people.
Eat to live. Live to ride.

Never once forgot to eat. In fact, I plan my days around meals. I only eat twice a day, and you better believe I know what I'm going to have, and when...
Did forget to breathe a few times, but that was due to distraction brought on by illicit pharmaceuticals. Ah, misspent youth, I hardly knew ya'...
