Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Mornin' all!
Well, it's past noon here, but what the hell... :D
I'm off to buy a chain soon, to finish putting back together my old LHT after a thorough cleaning.
But first - foo... ...d! :p :D

Morning Foo!
Its Monday again, and by now I'm sure you all know that I HATE Mondays!
I was sleeping so well when that stupid alarm clock went off...aaagghhg. just aaaaaghghgh!
And Jsharr...you must pack up puppy and send this way...I am still warring with the squirrels and need help although I did manage to shoot 2 of them over the weekend. There's still about 1,000 of them left to go! Needs help!

Feeling better I am. Whatever it was, it never made in down into my chest <knockin' wood>, so I hope I'm good to go on my bike later. Hope I haven't forgotten how to ride it! :p

Morning Foo,
Just got out of meeting about computer usage! Seems someone that worked downtown resigned after their productivity fell way off. This was due to using the computer for secondary employeement. IT had a log of all the web sites visited and for how long. Anyways, guess I better curtail some of my usage during the day or at least keep it during my lunch hour or morning/afternoon breaks:(.
Morning Foo.
WP, we'll miss ya around here. There was a bit of a rumor going around work about the big boss wanting to install monitoring software on some of our computers. Seems that has passed though, and my immedate boss assured us that if such things were installed we'd be notified as such. Like the most of us, I'm back at work this morning. Could use for another day of weekend, but Monday it is. Guess I'd best be semi-productive for a bit. I'll probably have a gabbly window open though.

well, i just cant be on as much during the daytime as i have been. tho, my productivity hasn't been affected - as long as i turn my project in on time (april '08 for this one), i dont really think it's too much to worry about.
Yesss...forecast says 5-8 inches of wet snow expected tonight.

Geez, WP. At my last company, we were only allowed to be logged in if we could charge the time to a project (and project managers had already established how much computer time was allowed for each member of the team for a given project). Any other computer usage was to be charged to overhead, and, needless to say, the department manager wasn't happy to see more than a small amount usage that couldn't be accounted for. Lunchtime surfing was usually permitted, but outside of that, not too many minutes per day per person.
One of the two IT guys in my office told me they never really looked at where everyone was going on the 'Net (way too many employees (over 100) in the office to check out every minute of everyone's usage), but they would check out anyone suspected of going repeatedly to p0rn sites and such. And there was a zero-tolerance for streaming music and such due to bandwidth issues....
But that's the private sector for you. At least we were an employee-owned company (over 3000 employees nationwide), and so increased productivity was a good thing from the company stock point-of-view.
Morning Foo!! Just had an awesome breakfast of last night's supper - Ho Fun noodles (flat rice noodle) and pork and horribly hot. PHOOOOO!! http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/violent028.gif

I'm disappointed not being at the top of your list for interesting weekend plans. I can't imagine what would be more fun than riding the hills. Guess you'll have to make do with second best then. :p

Just returned from a nearby coffee shop, where I happened to pass a couple of gossiping police officers. Ambling along as I was, it was impossible not to overhear the conversation. It seems there is a major investigation underway here in drought-stricken North Carolina - they are hot on the trail of some fiend who, with flagrant disregard for mandatory water restrictions, repeatedly used a Neti pot!
Not sure about the penalty for Neti potting during times of water shortage, but I had the distinct impression that there is a heavy fine involved, and probably some community service time. The rogue might yet avoid prison, though. Shocking to think someone would even consider such a darkly watery deed, really.

We need major rain all winter, I'm afraid. We're down by, what, 12" or so for the year? And isn't this a "la Niņa" year? Doesn't look like much relief is coming. :(

Went and looked up the pot. That IS the strangest thing!
Sent a pix to an exboyfriend of mine who always had nasal problem (he's got a big schnoz too :p) and his comment.
Was he worried if he sneezed during nasal cleaning would he blow an eyeball out.
:p
What a worry wart. :D
G'night, Foo!
No, wait, afternoon? Evening? Ah, morning! There we go. Stupid, pointless time change.
Oh well, at least it's nice out.

Tude, I had to try it about 15 times before I figured out how to do it without gagging. If you try it, don't be discouraged by those first few tries. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be so glad for it. I can't believe the relief and clear-headedness I get for long periods without having to resort to the brain-numbing OTC drugs.
I loves me my Neti pot.
ok, I'll bite.
what's a neti pot?

I hear ya wolfie. I generally log into BF here at work during lunch (1/2 hour) and occasionally a little before I leave.
It was nice to ride in the light in the morning again. Last week I was leaving home in the pitch black. But now it will be darker on the way home. I really hate it when its dark both ways. Thank God for lights.
This is gonna be a pain in the butt week since I'm leading an audit. I've already spent about 3 hours on it today. (what's the smiley for yuk?)
