Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Your memory is scaring me.
Somehow, that commercial is very touching to me. But no, I don't use Chase credit cards. (Only Citibank's cards for me.)
Guy and girl are in a convertible watching a DVD they just bought from Amazon (cue Amazon credit card, of course). Then they're getting married. Then they're on their honeymoon in Paris with the Eiffel tower outside the bedroom window (Continental). And as her lays her down from his arms, the scene changes again and he ends up laying down their baby (Disney) as she's pregnant with another. Then he's an old man fishing with his grandson and you see the AARP card (along with the others) in his wallet and a pic of him and his wife relatively old looking. And flipping through the wallet, you see pics from the earlier scenes in his life that Chase was there for.

Macho? I've got a fair bit of cardiovascular strength, and I am far from a weakling, but I am the second weakest guy on my construction crew. I don't consider myself macho. I just like shooting guns. Its no more a violent or macho hobby than riding the squishy's.

Liz is smart. Not that I should be talking, as I don't exactly follow that advice myself. The gray matter in my head tends to get in the way of getting to know the girls I meet. (And in the way of getting to know better the girls I already know.)
I'm hungry. Happily, I'm almost at a natural break in my work.
And my computer's most definitely dying now. I still think it's probably just bum RAM. (That or a bad motherboard or video card. Let's hope not.) But I don't want to take my computer offline for long enough to deal with it, especially since cold restarts are especially problematic at the moment. No important documents being worked on at the moment, so I can tolerate a few momentary pauses (with strange video artifacts) and occasional hard freezes. Whatever the case, all of it's under warranty, so I will get around to dealing with it. Eventually. Maybe this weekend.

Coincidentaly, after 4 years of construction, at the jobsite I was at today I met the first straight blue collar construction site lady I have ever seen besides on TV. (You non lesbian blue collar chicks seem to be a very rare breed.) The funny thing is, she's a porta ****ter service truck driver, basicaly a female version of the guy on the Red Green show.

Yes. Chai is almost heaven in a cup. Ice on leg = shin splints. Yes on Guerolito. I'm usually not big on remix albums but this is actually pretty good (hey, it's got Boards of Canada so it can't be too bad). Been on a Beck kick. Saw him play last Monday. Fun show. He had a group of marionettes in the back. One for each band member. Playing the songs as the real band was playing. All projected up on 2 big screens.

Yup. :D
If I had to eat raw food for a week, my diet would consist of raw beef, sashimi, fruit, and a few select veggies. I'd probably eat so much beef and sashimi so as to defeat the supposed health benefits I was supposed to get.

Oregon Green Tea Chai. Some honey and soy milk (trying to cut out dairy except for cheese - I'd sooner cut my own throat then give up cheese). Not too bad. Though I should probably at least get some cream if just for this. I'll see if they have the Good Earth Chai at the store when I run out of this stuff.

I've read there are a number of natural toxins in a lot of raw vegetables that get broken down when cooked. Any truth to that?

Do you have any particular ratio of tea/honey/cream? I keep trying to do it to taste but it never comes out quite right. May be that I'm using a big-effing mug and only one bag.

I think most vegetables are ok to eat raw, (much healthier than cooked), toxins are present in some vegetables, such as raw potatoes, but I don't really want to eat raw potatoes anyway. I've never felt more healthy than when I was on a raw diet, but you do have to do research and figure out the right way to do it. It is certainly not for everyone. Also, the liver can play some part in eliminating the toxins in some foods that have a small amount of toxins in them. I think the main thing you need to be careful about are green "sprouting" potatoes and raw bamboo shoots.

Use a regular sized mug, and use two tea bags, or use 3 bags to the ginormous mug. After the tea is steeped for about 5 minutes (preferably covered) remove the bags and add a whole LOT of honey. At least a tablespoon or two. I usually have my cup filled about 1/2 to 2/3 full of steeped chai, then fill it about 3/4 more full with honey and then finish the rest off with cream.
