Good morning all and my apologies for the unpleasantness last night. I'm sipping coffee and eating a cinnamon muffin and wondering why my legs are sore. It's not like I've been riding ridiculous miles. I'm thinking it has something to do w/ going up and down the Queensboro bridge last night twice when I went to dinner w/ a friend. But it was all worth it. Had incredibly good Thai food, good conversation and a cool ride home. If anyone needs a good Thai restaurant recommendation in NYC, lemme know.

*sigh* Thai food. I'm jealous.

I'm sitting at my desk wishing this headache I'd had for the past three days would go away. Sinus related, I think. Also happy I'm alive. My stylists best friend died suddenly the other day of heart failure. She was 27 and had no idea that her heart was damaged. So sad.

I'm going to a Journey concert tonight!!! :D Def Leppard is also playing after, but I'm not sure I'm going to stay for them. The Def Leppard singer's voice is not so good these days.

Gratuitous TT bike pic. Only waiting for one part to finish...Ultegra rear cassette. But it's gonna be a bullet. I keep stopping to stare at it every time I go to the kitchen!!

If you take Memorial day off you're working 24 hours straight.
They give you benefits that you don't ever need and they know it and don't bother to personally take the time to compensate that person for not using 20k in benefits that othe people are using and abusing.

I would have thought that people would have learned that by now. I mean it only took me like 6 years of working in this world putting in 9-10 years worth of work in that time to figure that out.

Texas Guy is catching up on back posts in this thread I see. BTW....I live on the third floor in my complex. So while my new TT bike will fit out the window...you'll need a very tall ladder to get it down!:p

Well the whole thing was a result of some very rude comment he had made when I made mention of the fact I had my mother put bendryl on my ass where I had tons of hives, where I couldn't reach. It's a two way street, sadly I'm usually the one pointed out as irresponsible.

Funny thing is, when I playfully responded then everything got serious. You guys are too funny.

Also, I'm eating a Red Delicious apple. It's red, but not very delicious. Does anyone know of any specific type of apple that is consistently crispy and juicy other than the green variety?

Yes, Braeburn apples are most delicious and crispy. Also, fujis and galas are yummy. Red delicious are not so good. I had a yummy gala this morning with my kombucha. It was goooood!

Around here, the Gala apples are just as inconsistent as the RD. I'll try Braeburn next. If anything, they have the coolest name.

EDIT: Or maybe a few Fujis and a few Braeburns and have myself a good 'ol blind taste test.
