Think I'm going to renew my gym membership soon now that I'm done school and have the time. Get back into my routine of up at 4:15, at the gym by 4:45, work out 'till 6am, come home and get ready for work/go to work. During school I was only getting 4-6 hours of sleep a night, if I'd tried to fit the gym in there it would've dropped to 2-4 which isn't okay. But now I need to get back in shape for racing season!
I am just waiting for the chocolate layer on these (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Caramel-Shortbread-Squares/Detail.aspx)to cool enough so I can cut them, should be tasty!
It's looking like the snow is finally slacking off though, I'm glad. As pretty as snow is I need to be able to get to work tomorrow!

So you know where I coming from. It's unfortunately very rampant and CS:S has a rather poor reputation in this regard.
My clan recently had a league championship retroactively awarded after the "winning" team had two members caught publicly. One of them admitted to using an auto-aim cheat in the championship match.
Our leagues are invitation only and yet we see this BS. :(
BTW, congrats on your CPL invitation. I should have just said that up front when I saw your original post. ( at me)
Thanks. :D
This will be our first time playing together with our entire team plus the alternates. The most we've had together at one time was five at the 2006 Dreamhack Winter. All of our other LAN escapades were with four members plus a ringer, making us a PUG, which makes us bad. :(
This time we have all seven, so we'll hope that our online success in CAL, Clanbase and CEVO can translate to a good finish against some even better teams.
Where is your league located? If we have the time, perhaps we can stop by after the CPL and have ourselves a LAN scrim. :)
Be careful, CdCf. Especially at your age. It's so easy to overdo it. When I was your age, that was my tendency, too, to go just a little longer, because I thought I could, and felt no fatigue in the moment. Older I got, I found it usually took two mornings before I could feel the pain.
I was fortunate by 25 to have a great and sensible man in my life who'd remind me to take breaks from strenuous physical activity (particularly as regards muscles long unused), and who'd eventually admonish me to stop for the day, before I really hurt myself. Now that he's gone, I have to stay on my own case. :o Which means I err on the side of caution to avoid injury. So far, so good, as regards cycling and weight training. :)
:)
It was mostly a case of doing too many reps just for the hell of it, rather than lifting too heavy. Sadly, I have extremely weak lower arms. I can just barely grip a bar with both hands and hold my own body weight, at 150 lbs. I can guarantee you that virtually everyone, male or female, here at BF would beat me in a lower arm/grip strength test.
My body generally copes very well with resistance training, though. I'm only ever sore after the first training session following a long (many weeks or months) break.

good grief. we just got back from shopping:(. stupid drivers. gah!!!!!!!!
now i'm sitting here look through foo and enjoying my christmas wreath smelling yankee candle:).
bwnc - my husband did the same thing when he went to the gym for the first time in a while. lifted too much weights and hurt his bicep as well. ibuprofen and ace bandage helped tremendously.
ooohhh cant wait till tomorrow...intervals, cause i can't ride today for the wind...15mph with 30mph gusts...
I'm not hurt. I just exhausted my muscles to the point where it was hard to move them for a few minutes. No pain or anything. :)
I slept late then Watched the Steelers watch a football game. Blowing snow 24f WC is 12f with wind 20mph and gusting to 40mph. Rode for 5 miles and turned around because tree branches were breaking and falling down. I started worrying about getting hit in the head. Plus it was not fun. I have had a splitting headache all day I wonder if this is a migraine be cause it feels really bad.

I'll survive. I always dread the first day in the gym. It doesn't seem to matter how little weight I use. It is a combination of reps and range of motion that cause the soreness for me. Tomorrow is yet another first day as I need to do legs for the first time.

I don't get too many of these at 28! :D
Hi, Foo. Back from the morning adventure. Was meaningful and rewarding. :)
Stacey, I've not forgotten. Just been busy. :o
MsI, hope you feel better soon. Sucks to be sick when the weather is nice, or at any time, for that matter. :(
WP, we had a pretty decent little snow here in CLT in early 2004. I remember because I could still go outside long enough to shovel the driveway, leaving my husband alone on the computer with his cell phone to call me if he needed me. He wasn't yet 24/7 ventilated at that time.
BDG, Mali, hope you'll soon get a break with the weather.
Jon, I'm smilin' at your account of last night. Goofiness is not a bad ingredient in a relationship, as long as it's not the main one. :)
Not a problem, I understand. :) All things in due time.

people seem to drive 10-30 miles an hour faster through the parking lots. Was walking into Sams club and this dude comes racing in. Police officer steps in front and puts his hand out in a halting motion and then politely told the person to lower his speed as he nearly ran over several people in his mad dash across the parking lot.

yea, they either drive way too fast or too slow like they dont know where they're going. i finished all my xmas shopping last week online, but had to get some stuff together for a gift basket for my dad that couldn't be bought online.

Morning Foo!
Damned..is it Monday again already? Crap.
Hay guize!
Looked out the winder, an' the truck is all covered in ice. Meh! What's the smallest hole I need to scrape in the windshield and still be able to see?
Have I said recently just how much I hate winter?

Thanks Stacey, I still have my bike...I just dont have time to ride it right now... working 7 days a week till end of january, about 12-15 hours a day. Its auto-start season. It gets cold and everyone wants an autostart...just like when it rains in california and everyone lines up at kragen for windshield wipers. :D
Gots to make hay while the sun shines so to speak, eh?
