hiya foo!

we just got back from dinner...myself, bwnc & his wife, roadrider, jschen, and two of bwnc's SO's colleague's at 553 (http://restaurant553.com/). we all had some really good carbs, including a few liquid carbs:). tomorrow, we will do this ride (http://www.motionmakersbikes.com/html/ring_of_scott.html)...it's gonna be tough, but i think i'll make it. it's all about finding your pace and sticking with it for the climb duration. i do hope to see if i can set some PR's for 20min power, as i've blown my field test numbers with the ride i did yesterday.

now, i'm off to put this route into my garmin....

Good luck tomorrow to you all! And remember, as a special Foo friend of mine (who knows who he is) used to remind me from time to time, don't forget it's all about having fun on the bike. Don't worry about your personal best. Just enjoy the ride and the company. :) ;)

Been trying to pay a bill online. Company wants you to register and go through all sorts of hoops in order to pay the bill. That's all fine and dandy, except their systems won't let me register, so I guess they aint gettin no money.
Crikey...its no wonder businesses fail all the time.

I just went down and tested out my new headlight and am very pleased at 16 watts!

And I just want to know who the hell this guy was a few nights ago when it was snowing pretty good and I'm on my way home (on bike) and he opens his window and yells over "nice bike and light system - so when you going to get a head light?".

?

Just upgraded my taillight and it rocks - and yes the front headlights were just a hold me over - still lit up the road just fine for me to see - and the one could have used some fresh batteries - and planned on a better headlight, but really...

I probably ride with him too on different occasions, just doesn't recognize me on the mtb in winter gear.

I feel very bad, because I wrote the last post right before going to bed and I skimmed VV's post as ""I'm headed to bed .." I then pretty much skipped onto the "i love you all, and wish you well.." and a part of me thought that was a bit odd and the other part told me i was too damn tired and to go to bed :(

51? Wow....that's perfect riding weather. Enjoy that ride.
Supposed to be in the 50's here later on but I have a repairman coming sometime after lunch....don't know what time he'll be here or for how long :mad:
This whole house thing is getting in the way of my riding.
Oh well....I think I'll probably do 1 1/2 on the trainer tonight. It has one course with 5 mountains and 160 km's...I won't finish it, but it'll be a heck of a workout tonight.

I have a wedding this afternoon and I'm kind of freaking out about it. I'm nervous for 1) it's paradox's sister's wedding, 2) I have to read in Spanish (something which I have not done in a long time), and 3) number 2. heh. I have to translate 3 prayers from english to spanish. My spanish isn't proper spanish for I learned it at home so I can't seem to translate them correctly. If anyone is fluent in spanish and can translate 3 prayers I would greatly appreciate it. If not, it's completely fine. Hopefully, it'll go well. <crosses fingers>

I've used those online translators when I was in my first semester of Italian. It didn't work out too well and my professor agreed. Since then, I don't trust them.

Yeah, I've had some weird translations from German to english. Handy to give you the jist of what someone is writing in another language, but definitely not an accurate translation.

Today is my yearly handlebar rewrap day.

I choose some nice Cinelli Red Cork for the CAAD 6 Si, and some wonderful Cinelli White Cork for both the XL Boron and XL EV3. :)

Just finished making a double chocolate torte (http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/104512) for dinner with the boy and his family tonight :D Took me a good 3 hours, but it is delicious and so incredibly worth the effort.

We used to make awesome breads with our bread maker.
And often times we would have to punch it down if it got too high.

It's my first time with this.. It's my standard bread recipe, just added some Chipolte powder for a nice smoky flavor and a bit of Chile Garlic Sauce form Sriracha to kick it up a bit. I also substituted Toasted Sesame Oil for the Olive Oil to lend a hopefully nutty flavor to it

I just took my bread machine to Sally. I was very non-plussed with the results. I much prefer the Kitchen-Aid w/ dough hook.
