Waiting on parts here at work, so I can actually do something. Nothing annoys me more than just sitting here at work, but not being able to work....it defeats the purpose. It's like "no contact" sex....if that's even possible...

only part that bugs me about the state of my job right now is the "work every saturday" rule they put in place is impacting my club rides. Hopefully I can do the "share the road" ride this sunday....I plan on attempting the 40mi ride on my mountain bike (time permitting..I'll be going slow since at the end of the day I'll have pulled around 60mi total)...should be fun.

If you do eat it, be sure to mention it in this thread. Then we can start an apple eating club. It will be glorious.
Oh yeah, what variety of apple are you intending to eat?

Yum. I already ate it. It was a tasty little organic gala. YUM! You can be the President. I can be your...secretary. :D

But the President's job is all cushy. It's really the secretary who does all the work!

Wonderful. As President, it is your job to provide me with a variety of apples. I will do all the work of eating them and describing the delicious flavor. If the apple is REALLY delicious, I will cut you off a slice. :D

I think I'm gonna like this job.
I'm making a plan. Got DLO's school list for fall. *SOB* She's still so little. I'm not ready for her to go to school. *sniff*
Interesting note though.....the list itemizes "blanket, soft sleep buddy, lunchbox, change of clothes." No school supplies whatever. How strange is that? This is real school she's going to be attending. Also have to get her hockey equipment for fall.
And just to make this bike related - we removed her training wheels while she was gone (she's on a special big girl trip to Tennessee with Grandma). She's only four but is getting good and fast. No need for the extra two wheels now!

Hi, Bikeforums people.
I just thought I'd let you know I'm still here. I also returned so that I can attend the annual Bicycle Coalition of Maine Bike Rally this weekend in nearby Yarmouth, ME. I'm just putzing around for the moment, however.
How about anyone else?
A frustrating morning since overnight failure of an old piece of rubber tubing on our vacuum setup brought a halt to our work this morning. Oh well... that's dealt with now, and hopefully the afternoon will be more productive. First, though, some lunch.

Anyone know if it's possible to get pipe cut and threaded at Lowe's or Home Depot?
I'm back at home now, multitasking. Watching TV, on my bike trainer, laptop (including power line and modem line) balanced on handlebars.

It always amazes me how ingrained hockey is in Canada. All you have to do is remind Canadians that southern states that don't even get snow in winter have successful hockey teams and they flip out. :) So I guess a trip to Canadian Tire is in your plans?

Lemme guess, you're watching the TdF and trying to match their cadence.

No... primetime coverage here starts in 3 minutes. Also, trying anything other than steady riding would be very dangerous for my laptop. Just trying to get some cardio in and burn some fat.

I'm waiting on a load of laundry, dishes to dry and folding earlier loads of laundry and listening to my MP3 player. Me hungry, too.:(

I don't actually know where we get hockey equipment having never done it myself.....especially as she's so little. Maybe there's a special place for tiny hockey gear?
I can tell you, people here were annoying as heck when the Hurricanes were playing Edmonton so I have to agree with you and then I have to talk you into kneecapping a few of them.
I'm drinking coffee and making a list of what's done and what needs to be done for our awards breakfast.

YES! I've actually cut down quite a lot but at the beginning I tried to kick the coffee cold turkey and it's a hazy time - one that I don't remember a lot about but I just know it was horrible. *sob*

So how are you feeling, Lex? I couldn't do that. I neeeeeeed my coffee. I get really grumpy if I don't have my morning cup. And at least two more throughout the day. At work if I get too business like, my girl gives me a funny look and starts making coffee.

I first found that to compensate for the coffee, I was drinking more soda - not a good idea as soda has more of the bad stuff to avoid....so I started drinking water. I now drink about three litres of water in an average day and have noticed that the heat isn't so unbearable and I just feel a bit bouncier. Still - gotta have at least one cup at some point in the day. This is only the second time this week I've stopped on the way to work.

I've actually mostly switched to green tea. I'll have a big cup in the morning and with lunch. I'll still have a bit of coffee once or twice a week. Other than that it's water. Not only does the tea give me a little help in the morning but I'm also getting a good dose of antioxidants.

I tried green tea at the very beginning and just didn't like the taste...and didn't get used to the taste. Not that coffee is a slice of caramel apple cheesecake but you get used to the taste.
Fuze green tea is pretty good.
Im getting ready to drop the other wheel off at the bike shop and see what they have to say bout my bike.
What am I doing.....hmmmm...... doing a little work at the office. Planning my day out, looks like I'll be taking off a little early to do some intervals, then head home to cut some grass, then head over to my parents and visit since family is coming in from out of town.
Now, to get to the important stuff. Placing an order with QBP for some bike goodies. :D

I checked out a new bike shop at lunch. The owner saw my bike, said he wanted to stock fixies, but wanted to go w/ a brand that wasn't saturated and thought mine would be a good choice cuz he'd never heard of it. :)
