Think long term. 303's, baby. Plus, at higher elevations, aero isn't as important since the air's thinner. 100-odd grams isn't much, but there's few places on a bike where you can cut out that much weight in one fell swoop.
I'll try not to order the 404's, but it's going to be hard.
I could sell my Giant.
Anyone want it? It's a Medium, 100 mm stem.
Der specs:
Frame: 2005 Colnago C50 HP, 56 cm, PR11.
Fork: Colnago Star Carbon, PR11.
Headset: Cinelli or Cane Creek S-3.
Group: Shimano Dura-Ace 7800 double, 53T/39T, 12T-25T, 172.5 mm.
Handlebar: Cinelli Ram or Deda 215.
Stem: Colnago/Cinelli forged thingy, I don't know what it's called, 100 mm, or the Ram.
Seatpost: Colnago Carbon.
Saddle: Fi'zi:k Arione Carbon or Selle San Marco ERA Pro Titanium.
Wheels: Zipp 404 Tubular, maybe.
Tires: Vittoria Corsa Evo CX, or some Continentals.
Total will be around $8000 USD.

Waiting for my new shaving implement to arrive. I'm sick of cheap razors that give me razor burn, and crappy electrics that don't do a good job....so I'm going back to what I used in high school....a straight razor. Picked up a nice brand new 5/8 Carbon steel model for $25 shipped. Now to find a pharmacy nearby that sells brushes and shaving soap.
Only reason I stopped shaving that way was when I was 17 I dropped it, breaking the blade, and was too young to buy a new one...and my parents kept whining that they were too dangerous....so pretty much from that time on I only shaved once every 3 weeks. Razor burn sucks...seriously. I guess once you go straight razor, you never want anything else.
I got that one in a garage sale, with a good conditioned strop and stone for $40.

    All it takes is one day where you're feeling kind of shaky and your bathroom has suddenly been painted red. :)
That actually sounds cool. Back to basics. You'll have to get a towel warmer.

How often do you have to sharpen the razor?
I haven't had problems with razor burn once I started shaving in the shower.
I would never try a real razor seeing as my hands shake like crazy. My bathroom would have red splotches all the time!
I'm eating lunch (stuffed zucchini, rice, raspberry frozen fruit bar) and catching up on BF and on news.

*sigh* That sounds yummy. I had Taco Bell. Busy, busy time.
I don't see why you guys don't try waxing. Waxing is great.

You strop it before every shave, and sharpen it usually every 4-6 months, depending on your hairs and how much shaving you actually do with it (I have a goatee I fully intend to keep).
Strop is that leather strap you see hanging from a barber's chair. It's used to straighten the edge of the razor, so that the edge is as straight as possible. An unstropped blade will cause nicks.

...I'm sitting here, resting my mangled leg from last weeks crash, daydreaming about my new bike build.
Time for some pasta under shrimp creole!

Of course you may, Jyo! You have to promise not to treat it like a baby......
Only if you absolve me of any responsibility for paying for any damages the bike may incur when I jump it off your roof. :D And in return, you can ride my awesome Haro.

Oh wow. I just took the T/A out. This young kid in a lowered, metallic lime green Civic with a body kit, fake hood scoops, flimsy (shake in the wind) skirts and a single grapefruit shooter exaust tip tried to take me on. Heeeeeeeeeeee Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! :roflmao:

Facial scrub in the shower, then baby oil to the face, then lather up and shave, all while in the shower. No razor burns and smooth as a baby's behind.

.........or you could just rub your face on a baby's behind. Or on slvoid's behind.

Recovering from 40 minutes of intervals, catching up on BF reading, trying to decide whether to go to the movies tonight, wondering if my bike will be ready at the LBS before the TT race this Thursday.

go to the movies ( I saw Pirates II). They confiscated our candy that we'd snuck in, but my friend, James Bond-style, snuck out, found it behind the counter where they put it, grabbed it and brought it back in.

I just got back from 2 laps in CP w/ another BF'er who's screenname escapes me at the moment. I only did 2 laps cuz the first lap burnt out my legs and I didn't know that until the 2nd lap. We may have seen another BF'er who was riding a fixie w/ track drops, helmetless, pretty and a consistent top 3 finisher in alleycats. I say may have cuz she went flying by before I could get a good look.
Back to work after running some quick errands and grabbing a quick dinner. I noticed that someone had stolen the valve caps on my tires on my car. They were there when I checked my tire pressures on Saturday night. Whatever... I won't miss them anyway. The weight weenie in me tells me that my car is now a few grams lighter, and it's unsprung rotational weight to boot. ;)

Just finished waxing two of my road bikes and the mt bike. I'm bored. I rented a DVD though, I think I'm gonna watch that in a little bit. Been eating so healthy, but tonight I stopped at Wendy's and got a spicey chicken combo. Dooh! Bad cycle! Bad! at least I didn;t super size it.

Woah... I just stepped into the middle of something here.
Anyway, I've wrapped up my workday and am postponing going home just because of the Internet connection. I'm looking forward to 2 or 3 group rides still to come this month. Not sure about this weekend, but definite commitments on the following two weekends. Those should be some fun weekends.
Okay, back to whatever I was interrupting. (I'm not sure I want to know what's going on.)

BTW slvoid, when's the housewarming party for all the BF nerds?
Party for BF nerds? Where? I wanna go!
How come other guys didn't show interest in Team Estrogen's July 30 ride until after I decided to go? (We're invited.) It's a beautiful coastal ride with a few modest hills to climb, about a metric century. What's not to like about it? Maybe they're afraid that the people organizing the ride have cooties? :p

I got the 404's. Tubulars.
I'm sorry.
Fiddy, nothing wrong with that. When you decide you really want the 303's instead, you can give me the 404's. :p
Just kidding... I'm sure the 404's are a great wheelset. Hope you enjoy your new bike. When will it be ready for its maiden voyage?
Maybe what they say about spandex clad roadies is true. :p
What do they say about spandex clad roadies? Does it hold true for those of us in lycra?
