Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Buh. I bought a bunch of albums yesterday, and just found out that one of them (not used, new and shrinkwrapped) didn't have the damn disc inside. What the hell?
holy ****. i typed minced beer instead of beef. best typo of the day award!

and that is the worst typo of the day award!! (on the manufacturer's part, wtf??)Seriously. How can one, in packaging an item, forget the item itself? That's special skill right there.
Oh well, it'd cost more in gas to take it back than it's worth, so I guess I'll have to eat it. The other dozen or so albums contained discs, so it's not like I'm lacking in music. :)

you want some shepherds pie? in an analogy similar to your situation, i can just send you the delicious potato topping, forgetting the meaty lambtastic goodness inside.
What album was it? Maybe there wasn't supposed to be a disc inside. Like the artist was trying to send a message to the people.

Got off of work this afternoon and met with East Hill for lunch/dinner. She is the sweetest (tiniest) thing ever. I got to see the infamous Sachs bike that Allen G sent and BOY that is one precious bike.

I'm sitting down after 9 hours of working today. I'm sunburned, I'm really pink. Thinking about figuring out and trying to paraglide. There is an area for paragliders. It looks like so much fun. I think you have to take classes or get some kind of certification, if so, I want to do it. Maybe I'll get my own shoot, the best area to do it by the coast is about 5 minutes away. Already did skydiving, now I need something new, that or bungee jumping. When I go to idaho, me and the GF are going to try and do 4v4's on the dunes. If I can find bungee jumping, maybe that.

Go for it. It's really fun. Yup, you need to take the course - and they'll provide you with the equipment etc to lean with. Never got around to getting my own chute - used my sisters. Her and her husband flew a lot - I think her longest flight was 3 hours.
I'd have to go through the learning again because it has been way too long since I was certified.

Just dropped off the roadie at the LBS to have the wheels re-trued. The mechanic said the computer mount might not survive.

taking a break.
Been: To the office to verify my program was running correctly. Appears to have finished running and correctly for that matter.
Grocery Store to pick up a few odds and ends.
Lowes to get two Oak planks which hopefully will eventually become wooden fenders for the Puch.
Mowed the grass (weeds)
Spraying said weeds to hopefully kill some of them.
Trimming back two clematis vines and searching desperately for the Jasmine vine that used to be in the middle of them, its gone, must have died last year during the drought. :(
Have a loaf of Cinnamon Raisin bread cooking for breakfast in the morning.
About to cook burritos for dinner.
Somehow, I was supposed to try to get a ride in today. Obviously has not happened.

Thinking that since the sun is shining and that it is such a beautiful and picturesque spring day that I should really contemplate going for a short ride and take the camera with me.
As always, the question is which girl do I want to take riding and by girl, I mean bike as there has been no question about what real girl I would like to take for a ride for quite some time.
And by ride, I mean, a bike ride.
:)
I hope everyone is having an equally sunny and cheerful day wherever you may be.

Just recovering from a particularly bloody game of bike polo yesterday, we played 50% longer than usual and by the end people were crashing a lot. I'm missing a nice little bit of my left shin and right hand. But it was a really good game with an awesome view, played on the roof of a 7 story parking garage since cars aren't allowed to park on the roof anymore. It was awesome.
I really need to put together a fixie though, I rode one for a little bit today and I am a pretty big fan. They are so much better for polo.
I'm so glad spring is finally here, I can get back out on my bikes!

I would call this "hope".
Great job.

There are actually quite a few who ride for recreation on warm weekends, but I've run into very few who would consider their bicycle more than a toy or piece of exercise equipment.

Morning Foo.
Sipping a cup of Yerba Matte and reading some posts.
Trying not to work today while looking very busy. It's my impression of George.
Can someone else do Kramer, Elaine, and Jerry?

Went back to SF to Lincoln High School to watch a basketball tournament. From the gym exit you can see the ocean. For quite a few minutes I just stood there, looking toward the water, taking in the cool weather, the sounds, looking at the architecture of the homes and just remembering my days when I lived there.
It's amazing the rush of feelings that come back to you.

I am ...
having a wonderful time trying to find a doctor in my local that is accepting new patients (I haven't been to a doctor in years - hehe 'cept for ER for bike accidents - but I've decided to have a general look-see) ... and finally when I did find one - they only take new patient calls on Tuesdays after 12 pm.

Wolfing down a $5 footlong from Subway.
I'm feeling bi-polar, waxing a board for the resort that's still open with 10' of snow and looking at a stack of bikes that were just delivered and are still sitting in front of the shop, waiting to be built.
The idea of looking at 10", let alone 10' of snow is foreign to me.
Browsing the web trying to find info one a two stroke oil I read about in Family Handyman magazine. Was supposed to be some sort of "1 mix" oil that would run in any 2 stroke lawn equipment.
