Fiddy, nothing wrong with that. When you decide you really want the 303's instead, you can give me the 404's. :p
Just kidding... I'm sure the 404's are a great wheelset. Hope you enjoy your new bike. When will it be ready for its maiden voyage?
The wheels arrive on Friday.
Picking it up on Sunday.

I'm sorry.
Cool. Need lessons on gluing tires on? There a sticky all about that on Classic & Vintage.

I'm working and feeling jittery from my coffee. I went to the hot springs last night and I didn't get enough sleep. Wide awake but feel a bit tired.

What do they say about spandex clad roadies? Does it hold true for those of us in lycra?
Ummm...that they dress in the manner of a male prostitute. An unsuccessful male prostitute. And they're afraid of girls. The same goes for lycra wearing roadies. :p
I'm doing stuff - what stuff I don't know but stuff. We have the awards tomorrow and then I'll have to work until noon and then I'm off until next Monday. Whoo hoo!

I'm sitting around, trying to not do any work for a bit right now, so I don't look like I am slacking on the last 15-20mins of my shift.
This is what happens when your shift is extended to 10-11hrs when you only have enough work for 8. Hooray for shotgun management.

I just went shopping on teh intarweb and bought bike and car stuff. Ratio of money spent on bike stuff vs. car stuff is 10:1. I'm not finished though as I need to hunt down power folding mirrors for the Focus. I'm actually in another forum  searching for info right now.

O.K. first both of those Euro Bands kick major *ss! ;) I have Eclipticaby Sonata Artica and a greatest hits CD by Nightwish.
Anyway.... I had a really great second date tonight. :D I might be cooking for her this weekend. And the only other thing I will divulge is she is a good kisser.;) Good night all.
I'm confirmed for three BF rides (well, kind of) for the next three weekends. Yay! :)
July 15: Mountainous ~60 mile ride in northern Los Angeles county.
July 22: Coastal relatively flat ~90 mile ride in Orange County and San Diego county.
July 30: Team Estrogen's coastal mildly hilly ~60 mile ride in Orange County.
Anyway, back from a casual dinner celebrating the successful dissertation defense of a grad student in our lab. Trying to get done with work so that I can get home and get to sleep. My coworker and I are going to watch OLN's coverage of the Tour starting at 4:30 tomorrow morning.

Eating my breakfast and checking my cell phone messages.
O.K. so this really sucks! Apparently yesterday the LBS was trying to button up/finish my new TT bike and they couldn't. Seems they were missing two little metal pieces for the dura ace bar end shifters that I somehow left at my house. Now I have to drive up their this monring and drop them off, but I have a feeling my chances of getting the bike back today for tomorrow's TT Race are gone. I'm such a moron!!

Good morning...watching the Tour.
Got back from my club ride...Got in 55 miles! Weeeeeaaaawww!
Oh and also check this out...Sram did a bicycle demo at my club. They had 20 doner bikes all outfitted with the brandnew sram road componets...Everything from specialized tarmacs, C'dale Six-13s with zipp 303-404s, c'dale synapses with the new Mavic Ksyriums, Mercx. Oh man it was a pretty sight. Sadly I didnt wake up at 4:30 to ride to the start to get there on time to swap my bike for one :( (I am really wishing I did)
AND! I think its CnBC is doing a money documentary regarding expensive bikes and the people who ride them and the bicycle economy. Something along those lines, and we had a car following us most of the way video taping us and I got some footage time. It was a fun ride indeed. When I get the pictures I will post them although I dont think there are many.
Now that BF is back up, I'm making sure I have all the necessary info for the next two group rides on my computer, in case BF goes back down at an inopportune time. Including contact info for key organizers of the rides, carpool buddies, etc.
Missed you guys. Hope you all had a good day so far.

Nope. I don't think that's going anywhere.
But.. my date from a couple weeks ago and I went out again last night and let's just say some sparks where flying. She is coming over Friday, so I can cook for her.:) I like her, this date was more comfortable and I think we both felt more at ease with each other. It was fun.:)
Glad to hear it, cycle17. Hope things go well with your date on Friday. What's for dinner? You can do a trial run of dinner and overnight it in vacuum packaging to us so that we can critique it for you. ;)

My home made, hand rolled, stone baked pizza (white or red) with fresh shredded mozzarella, and olive oil brushed crust is da' bomb!;) I need no critique on it. Add to that she gets to select one of the 50 or so bottles of wine from my collection to go with dinner and I think I'll make a pretty good impression.:D But I appreciate your willingness to help out JSC!!:p :D

I hope you know I meant the "Team Estrogen" part - not the hilly 60 miler. Heck, if you can ride up Mt. Baldy and Mt. Palomar... :)
Sigh... I can't convince cycle17 or jyo to send me food. Must keep trying.
USAZorro, I know. :p When the possibility of inviting some of the guys from the ride on the 22nd to the Team Estrogen ride was first brought up...
A Sunday ride (the day of the week I almost always am free) on a girly forum? Sign me up! :D Note to self: Be nice to Brandy. ;)
When two of them then made it clear that they are serious about the invitation--and that it would be a hilly metric--then I agreed to be serious about my acceptance of the invitation.

Finally got my Straight razor!
Sadly, I have been unable to find a reaosnably sized and priced strop for personal use...so I can't use it yet :(
I did give the shaving brush and soap a test run using my old mach3 razor....I tell you what, I forgot how good a brush full of lather feels, and how much of a difference it makes for a shave. The brush and soap was well worth the $6 :)

I know the feeling. Got my Bianchi today and put it together, but I need to replace the brake and derailleur cables and hosings I think and adjust the derailleurs, etc. Plus the saddle and handlebars need to be replaced because both are too narrow. The stem will probably need to be replaced too. It was formerly a woman's bike hence the short stem and narrow bars. Plus, the woman had replaced the narrow stock saddle w/ a WSD springy saddle.
I also wrapped my new bullhorns and put them on the fixie and now I really wanna ride it. And I won't be able to cuz I have to go work 40 miles from home tomorrow!
[e]ooohhh...I can customize a fizik arione online to match my bike's colors. I'm getting all OCP and ****.
[e2]GAH! Only comes in one size for skinny butt people's not big bottomed people like me.
I got a job today!!!!!!
Im working at a specialty foods store/houseware store. I start next tuesday.
Im pretty damn excited! :D
