Just took the pedals off my roadbike, and packed them together with shoes, helmet and other stuff. I'm off to London, UK tomorrow morning, cycling with a friend tomorrow afternoon (well, I'll be hammering to keep up, while for him the ca. 30km/h that I hope to achieve will be the proverbial walk in the park ). Monday I'm giving two presentations, and I return Monday night.

I'm looking at the Himalayas on Google Earth
I did this a while back. If you tilt it and rotate it around Mt. Everest, you see in 3D what the mountain and the glacier systems around it look like, and it's awesome. What a great tool.

Taking care of my time sheet.
Playing with my new work toy--I just got issued a cool little ThinkPad Tablet PC that I can undock from my office and use at home, with uber-encrypted VPN access to all my patient records, radiology images, labs, etc. etc. And, when I'm seeing patients in clinic, I can easily flip through all these records with the tablet via Wi-Fi. Major time saver, and really great when on call from home...
The federal government had been cracking down on actually accomplishing any work on computers outside the physical facility, so this is a major step. My little ThinkPad is like a fortress though--without my military ID card inserted into the computer and a few passwords, it won't work at all. Also, if you enter the wrong passwords too many times, the hard drive wipes itself. Guess that's a good thing considering the contents of the HD and all...

Just got up far too early on a Saturday... race today about 2 hours away :(
I went out for a group ride last night that I was assured would be an easy relaxed ride, then some really good riders showed up and led the group. It was not an easy relaxed ride. Had I known those two were going I wouldn't have gone on the ride, someting like that the night before a race is a bad, bad idea...
Good luck, Mali. Kick some butt!

Just got home from the Farmer's Market with a TON of veggies and greens. :D We're going to head back over for a second round. We need to pick up some honey and hopefully, some hair sticks.

Dang. I hate it when chili spiced mangoes get all stuck in my teeth. :notamused:

Mango gets all over the place, its so fibrous. But oh so delicious!
There was this vendor at the Farmer's Market last year and the year before who sold these really cool, handmade hair sticks (like chopsticks that you use to put your hair up). He kind of sporadically showed up and so I always look for him whenever we go.
Here is what they look like.

07-26-08, 10:52 AM
Oh okay, I see. I know what those are. I guess I didn't think they'd be at the farmer's market because over here they won't let artists have booths! I think it would be a nice addition if they did.
How come you only have one pair left? Kitties get to them? My cat steals pencils.

Chopsticks don't stay in as well. These hair sticks have a perfect sharpened edge to them that makes them very easy to work with. Plus, I love the look to the handmade wooden ones. You can't see them too well in the photos, but up close they are gorgeous.

Half of our Farmer's Market is artist booths. Its really cool, in fact that is where we met our pottery teacher!

You are lucky. Here it's either one or the other. But then I guess that's good in the sense that it makes up for very busy weekends having both artist's fairs and farmer's markets! If you get new ones, make sure to show us, okay?

Gas.
Do it. And big Borla exhausts, with the restrictor switch to make it quieter. Then an air intake...
:D I like trucks...
Eating cashews and reading the internets. Trying to figure out something to do this weekend. I should have done that yesterday so that I'd be ready for the weekend, but it's been such a bizarre week, I hardly knew what day it was.
Meh, might end up being an uneventful weekend at this rate.

Already had Flows and dual put on the day after I got it. Was going for ram air induction but for the Hemi it would only be an 8% increase in horsepower (I already have a K&N) and the sucking noise would over ride the 2 chamber exhaust. Probably am going for the Superchips but it's $550. Gotta find justification.
For a minute there I thought of a 3 inch lift but I think that would mess up my rollover ratings. I already have a Hotchkiss suspension.
Well I know it would increase my gas mileage...:o
That good enough?
