Yeah, now the manager in training is going to the stockroom to get them. 7 hours total, and they have not moved a box exactly 200 feet to my area.
The stockrom here is beyond incompetant....seriously.

I'm facing a dilema. I can either take the purely XTR parts (crank is XT) from my now retired Giant and put them on my old Mesa frame, then buy a Prophet next spring, or I can gut the Giant next season and buy just a Prophet frame to put the Giant parts on and be happy with my Klien until then. The very idea of an XTR Schwinn Mesa seems to make one shutter, but a bike is a bike as they say.
Anybody have any thoughts on what you would do? Would anybody actually disgrace an XTR component set like that? The idea bugs me but I'll probably end up doing it anyway.
I'd go to Disney World :)

There's about 3 females on this forum that I think are the jam based on pictures they've posted, and Shadiyah and SBW are 2 of them. I hope they take it as a compliment, and not as a creepy, online guy-sort of thing. :eek: Of course they'd both be thousands of miles away and spoken for. :(

I just took out my almost never ridden 98 Schwinn Peleton. A good indication of how often I ride it is that I couldn't remember how to shift at first. After pumping the tires and figuring out how to shift I hauled some serious ass for about 2 very short seeming miles, then the rear factory original tire blew out and I had to walk it home. Next time I get the chance I'll have to visit the LBS and get some bar tape, tubes and tires. I'd forgotten how much fun that thing is to ride.

Nice avvy Shadiyah!
I took the Veloce out to test out the new handlebars and did a couple laps of the park. I definitely need a new saddle, but apparently, Fizik only makes one size saddle. Looks like I'll have to ruin the look w/ a Specialized saddle. I could also use a longer stem and maybe a miche supertype seatpost. And that's just for the roadie. The fixie could use some nice bits too. :D Anyways, the new handlebars made a big difference and the saddle will do until I figure out which one to get. Now I gotta figure out how to adjust brake reach on Campy brifters. If anyone actually knows, feel free to PM me. And if you know where the brake release is to make removing the wheels easier, lemme know.
I just got back from outside. its a lot cooler. on the other hand, i got a call from bike shop saying my bike is in:). woop. Nice avatar kombuchaChic:P

I still need to get off my lazy and easily distracted butt and clean up my apartment...it's starting to get scary in there...time to get a few boxes to just start putting stuff in and stacking on a wall until I get around to organizing them.
Other than that, taking a slack bre...err breather from assembly here at work....and after work....hmm....beats me, but it will probably involve two wheels, my camera, and a strawberry milkshake (pity McDonalds only has those lovely shamrock shakes for the month of march....those are the best!...only reason I would ever go to mcDs.)

Thanks guys. :) That thing on my forehead is a remnant of my performance on Sat., BDG. :) Right now, I'm just starting work. The funeral is today, but I can't go. He'll be in my thoughts...:( On the bright side, I'm drinking kombucha and eating an apple. :D Does anyone have any trips planned for the near future? Bf and I are planning a trip along the west coast in early Aug. :)

Oh god no....I wish Kelis would just fall off a speeding boat or something. I do occaisionally use it for some humor value...but nah.
Instead I just sit there quietly trying to get all that milkshake goodness through the straw. It's one of the few things that just might be able to shut me up.

shadiyah, no big trip planned, but tomorrow Im speding the day up north at the lac with 6 of my closests gf's so there will be tons of laughs and tons of trouble hehe
Me nad 5 others are doing a cool trip as well. In august. They want to go to the sacramento temple open house, then were going to drive across the border into nevada. We found a place that sells fireworks year round and were going to get hyphy. Then were coming back to pinecrest lake, and were gunna hike into the middle of no where in granite land(everything is granite, and everything is middle of nowhere). My friend wants to setup a rock climbing wall, and we'll prolly jump off the cliff into the water etc. We'll sleep tentless randomly on the rock and get eaten alive by bugs. I'm contemplating buying a bear pepper spray, not sure if I should or not. Third day were going to do a mtb ride, not sure where yet and come back. Woooot!! I'm gunna take a gazzillion pics.

hey kids! I am just putzing around a bit before tackling the great home office clean up project.....augh! I have some time away from work today and it will be best spent on my bike, which I'll do this evening with the gang, but for now....out comes the trash bags so I can clean that mess up. Cranking up the tunes and dancing all the way....!

That sounds fun, particularly the mtb and camping! :) I don't know about bear spray but I would take bug spray. I don't like getting eaten by bugs and they seem to love the taste of me.
This is where we went camping for a week in the middle of nowhere with no tents. After the first night we were all counting our 10+ bug bites on our necks. I've gotten myself paranoid about the possibility of some kind of ravenous animal attacking us. I know it would sooth my fears by getting some bear spray, only prob is its 30+ dollars for a can :eek:

Tis true. Bf and I went hiking with some friends and this was a rather small hike. 1 hour tops. There was TONS of bugs about and I probably got out of there with at least 20 + bug bites on my body. I swear they always get me the worst of out all people I am around. We ended up going around the same area last night and this time I sprayed myself down. Only one bite this time! And it happened before I put the spray on. This stuff is where its at:
