OH I'm sure you can take it on. Let's see you take on an orca in a vat of oily okra. Now that would be entertaining! ;)
And it would be extremely unfair to the Orca. Vats of oily anything is my bread and butter! Why, back on '02, I fought me a giant squid in an olympic sized swimming pool full of greased up electric eels. Boy howdy, did we eat well that night...

If you were really cool you'd have orcas eating okra out of your buttcrack. Now thats some jackass entertainment.

I am hoping the rain stops by tommorw, so me and russiankdi can road ride. If it does rain, I will just have to ride through the rain to his "hizzouse"

Shadiyah,
I do fairly well just using one squirt of 100% deet repellant on my neck and each limb. Using that weaker kind typically results in using a lot more than you need to, and it ends up on you're entire body. I too hate exposure to nasty chemicals, so I figure 5 little squirts beats hosing ones self down by a long shot.
I'm sitting in front of a 21-pot console, chewing polar ice gum.... mmmmm, tasty, delicious chewy, chewy gum. enjoying this gum.

Hmmm good suggestion! I'm not sure which is worse...100% deet in one area, or 10% on more areas.

Oh coffee! Thanks Jyo! Why do I always forget the coffee? That's why I'm being so grumpy..........*goes to start the pot of brew*
Let's just skip morning, the mediocre meals and go straight to dinner.
I wish caffeine could be my ally, whenever I've tried coffee it makes me have to pee alot. If I was to drink a monster, I'd puke so oh well.
Drink the coffee and enjoy the wizz.
I just got back from the oncologist, the results of my lateest CBC (Monday) showed a dramatically reduced WBC 12k, the target is between 8-10k. He also cut my Gleevec dosage back by half. Now maybe I won't toss my cookies & poop my pants as much. Also got a script for Marinol :D gettin' buzzed at the states expense... can't beat it. ;)

Sorry about that.
I had 1 cup of coffee and 2 gulps of kombucha and 1 jazz apple. YUM. I'm doing pretty good, but all this coffee talk is making me thirsty!

Good job Stacey, keep up the good work!
I just came back from lunch. Had a roast pork sandwich and a ham croquette and washed it down w/ a Snapple. Yummy! Now I'm sourcing places for parts to upgrade my bikes. Anyone else suffering from upgradeitis?

You're forgetting the coffee tastes like cigarette butts.
...Right now, while you are on BikeForums.
I'm waiting for the wax to haze on my bike before I polish it off.
Then I'm going to eat ice cream. :D
Flirting....:D

Man you're drinking coffe at the wrong places.
About to go get lunch. From the hospital cafeteria, as usual.

Baldy times will come back. My poor Roubaix is getting dethroned as prima donna of my bike family. She's been crying a lot over this. To console her a bit, I've promised her that she'll continue to be ridden "in anger" until the R3 arrives. Yesterday's pre-breakfast ride (ride report (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=213743)) may well be her swan song performance-wise as we broke our PR by 2:17 and convincingly broke the one hour barrier on the ride. One last happy memory for the outgoing prima donna.
Turned out I had an eye appointment yesterday as well and wound up walking out with glasses. *sigh* Darn age.

I'm about to go to the post office to send my backpack off to Salt Lake City for repair work. Then I'm going to the bike shop to get some cables for my rediculous XTR Schwinn Mesa project. When I get back home I need to sawzall the old crank off my Mesa frame because it just won't come off any other way.

What kind of backpack is it? I didn't know we had any pack manufacturers here.
Just checked with the shop that sells Cervelos. My bike is ready, minus the Shimano compact crank which should arrive on Friday. If things go well, my R3 may be ready for its maiden voyage this weekend. Can't wait. :D

Hey BDG, how's your leg feeling? Good enough to go jumping into lakes I guess.
I just came back from my mtb's maiden voyage with the new Brooks saddle. The breaking-in process has begun. The most noticeable difference the saddle made was that the old, heavy mtb is now faster than my roadbike, at least according to my avg. speed. Hit 26 on short downhills and close to 15.9 mph avg. including street riding to/from the park. Apparently, it's not fast enough though since I was passed by a ton of roadies, fixies and one folder. Also apparent is that I had the fastest mtb in the park! (That's not saying much.) As for the saddle itself, it's already pretty comfortable so after a couple hundred miles, it'll be even more so. Maybe I should put one on the roadie to make it faster? :)
Kraut, if I see that Robert Johnson was emo t-shirt, I'm gonna u-lock the bastage to a pitbull.

Hey everyone...
Between work, some financial crap that has unexpectedly sprung up and one other issue....life has been kicking me in the proverbial balls lately!:( Tonight I had my first migrane headache in like 3 years. :( On the bright side, I'm still healthy..I think... and the one real bright spot lately is the women I've been dating. Things are going along quite nicely there and she is coming over to visit this weekend and is going to cook for me this visit.;) :D Still kinda' early on, but she's a keeper I think.:)
It looks like I might not be able to race in the TT race tomorrow, as a major dilema needs to be taken care of and may prevent me from going to the race.:( Work has been so bad that I have not been getting in the miles on the bike I would like.So I don't know how well I'd do:(
I have lost 4 pounds this week from the stress alone...and I'm a person that it usually takes A LOT to get me stressed. And I did take out some of my bottled up frustration the other night by going out and putting in 14 miles of finding every hilly road, street etc... and just attacking it until I thought my heart was going to explode. So that always helps!! LOL:p :)
Hope everyone else is hanging in there. Best wishes...

Poor cycle17. :( Sorry to hear that things aren't going so well. I hope anticipation of the weekend is enough to get you through the week. :)
Hope things eventually workout cycle17. At least you lost 4 lbs:eek:

I believe that's the plural usage of the word woman, as in, more than one.

Since your TT bike isn't getting much use, send it to me and I'll give her some exercise. :) Cheer up!! the only way to know you're alive is to hit you w/ some stress once in a while!
I'm watching Pee Wee's Playhouse and thinking about pizza.
*bowmp chicka bowmp bowmp*
Ok where on earth did that come from.
My sister said it a while ago, my friend knew that term, im starting to say it, but where did it originate from?!?
And I saw someone on TV say it in a show.
I believe that's the plural usage of the word woman, as in, more than one.

Oh...sorry...I meant woman, as in singular, as in one woman at a time. Yea...she's pretty neat and I find myself liking her more and more every time I see her. Hopefully that trend continues.:D
And jyos's "bowmp chicka" thing is a play on the funk-disco era of music I believe. At least that's where I remember it from. That..and a lot of mid 70's TV shows had that music anytime a male character tried to get his funk on with a female on the show.:p ;)
