Went into the shop a little early and finished up the new beater that I think I will simply call, "Number Five".
Had a nice Sugino VP crank and a 48 tooth tring so with the 16 I have in the rear I have 74.6 gear inches to play with.
She's about as simple and naked as a girl gets save for the bottle cage I added as I need a place to stash my coffee thermos / water bottle.
Pics to follow in the usual places.

It's gonna be a long day where all I will be able to do is ogle the new bike... :D
45 minutes to go and my energies I had this morning have fizzled out ... blah. Even got the roadie with me again today as I had planned a 25 mile loop this afternoon. Maybe some coffee will get me going ...

waiting for 5pm.
What a lazy, hazy late afternoon-evening. Had all intentions of mirroring my 35 mile ride last night with at least a 25 mile - commuted to work on the roadie and ... blah. Coffee didn't even inspire me this early evening. Blah.
It's almost muggy out at 71F and no wind, but I have not one ounce of inspiration - and so... I shall embrace it.
Sitting here in mah baggy jammies, sipping a cold beer and enjoying mah cats (the kitten is such a babeh) and it's just a comfortable slow evening and so it shall be - why force things to happen. Have to run the vacuum cleaner for those daily kitteh litter flings - perhaps some laundry - lazy evening.
coolllll.

Have you considered bacon therapy?
I'm making bacon for the first time in two years. So far the experience has been very relaxing.

The sweet schmokey goodness of bacon is the revitilizer of my .... uh. Let's leave it at that.
I am a bacon addict and I admit it - however I really don't eat much of it anymore. But when I do - I treasure it. And it's not like I'm avoiding it - hell I love KFC - and have ridden by the nasty E. Main St. place for more than 5 years - but have probably had it twice during those five years. Makes my stomach rumble though as I sit on the E. Main bridge over the inner loop schmelling the 16ish spices in the KFC secrets stuffs. Yum. And then I ride on ... Sigh.
So what brings you to the bacon edge? A nice ripe tomato perhaps???

It's the end of the season, and instead of the usual half gallon of ice cream, I decided to try some bacon.

Quiet you ... you tofu muncher!!!!
We schmokey meat eaters have to unite once in a while - I mean come on ---- yes we are in the Fall veggie yummy plunder --- but still a little schmokey pleasure can be rather ... stimulating.
<smiles and watches UA run down the driveway to the store once he read something about schmokey goodness, pleasure and stimulating used in the same sentence ...>

Remember what I posted about yesterday? Hmmmm? A rather idiotic show on the Animal Channel that relies on animals as "witnesss" and the main long winded piece was about identifiying a bad person via his footprint in Poo.
Guess what?! - I guarantee sometime in the UA universe of UA laws, you got up, fumbled for the toothbrush - stepped in something ... unusual ... but just brushed it off your nekkid foot ... stumbled to the sink and brushed the teefers. Now you leave for school and are walking and looking and .....EEEERRRTTT!! SKID - yep - you dug a dooty. Caught your balance and never noticed a thing (of course yer leaving a killin' trail of poo smells behind you - and that's another thing you must consider - about 40 fellow students think you have a really HUGE problem) ...
and you walk along la-de-da-de-da - and SOM-BEOTCH! - dam person just about rams you as they get that last little parking space - but noooo problem ... you give that little annoyance a nice little beeeeotchy kicky and BWAM! Hell I'd feel better.
<enter CSI music .....>
dam poo left a foot print .... :D

Yeah, nearly got creamed by a car when the bike lane ended and I had to merge with traffic. Then, as I got back into the bike lane, we came up on a stoplight with a car trying to use the bike lane as a right turn lane. I booted her car.

oooooooohhhh .... that's so ME from a few years ago --- and I have to tell you - it did nothing to help me - and actually I have had a couple people jump out of their moving cars and run at me in the city when I told them to effing freaking pay attention to some such effin thing and ... so I am less verbal - but I gets my point across to them without the BIG attack.
For riding in a bicycle lane .... probably not such a good thing to kick a car and dent it ... I mean at least try and tell her she was not in the right lane, etc and then and only then IF SHE WAS SATAN'S SPAWN - then get that high heel workin' - but I think ya overqualified there mah frwiend!

It was more of a tap to let her know I was there and not squeeze me into the car next to her. I really wasn't aiming for damage, just a little "I'm here!" tap.

I've actually done what you did about a year ago. tbh, it felt good.
