Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

That is the ugliest, most evil animal I've ever seen. It's not even remotely cute and I wouldn't have any problems running over it w/ a steam roller.
So uhhh...what were you doing at U of M Michigander that you got meningitis?

I'm about to give my naked cat a bath... she's not happy about it.

OMG! I had water coming out my nose...I laughed so hard when I saw that pic LS! Not sure why...I guess I wasn't expecting it.:p :D
On another note, "my quick 12 mile ride after work in 97 degree heat tonight" turned out to be an expensive one, as a chunk of sharp metal destroyed the Michelin Pro2 Race rear tire on my 5000 tonight. That was an expensive ride. I stayed up right on the bike though at 25 mph. IT could have been worse.

:( Hope you get well soon.
Thanks. Just burned it off running.
My day sucked. I worked this morning, which was ok, then came home and started getting some old computers, and various things ready for eBay. Everything went wrong/funny/weird with installing the software, and I spent 8 hours staring at computer screens.http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i212/Ronja05/Smilies/faint.gif
Well, there were a couple of old computers I upgraded, so that's what I get. Mac Geeks will love them though, and I should make a few bucks. I'm also going to sell a guitar amp, which I has some mods, including one I undid, plus an old 35mm Canon Rebel, a distortion pedal (possibly two), and a guitar amp speaker. I still haven't photographed anything much yet, since I'v ebeen hacking away at installers. Nothing is worse!

[EDIT] No longer relevant... Pheard changed which pics he's showing.
Pheard, did you actually wade through all 583 posts before your post in that thread?
By the way, the point was for people to see the females on the ride. Not for them to see me. And I need to lose some weight... that guy chimivee is 15 pounds lighter than me! :o And only two inches shorter.
You want more pics? Here's some from the previous weekend: PICS! (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=213257)

Only three got their images from behind? I thought there were more...
In any case, what's wrong with that? You'd rather see my butt? :o

I have no reason to see middle aged jelly butts. Booty, is like the opposite of wine. As it gets older, it gets nastier :(
Middle aged? Jelly butts? Brandy is 30. adpikasey is 27. ptbryant and caligurl are probably in their early 30's.

Did you get the Apple? I know I need to...
Not yet... waiting for Merom-based laptops.

But these people, you can talk to them and ride with them.
I'm not getting a Yonah... no way. I've been holding out for Merom, and I intend to keep holding out. My 400 MHz PowerPC G3 laptop can hang in there for a few more weeks.

I need to join you guys next time :)
This weekend, sunninho. Tour de Sugar Shorts, stage 2 is on Saturday. A guys' mountainous hammerfest (but with a girl in the midst of the B group--the slower group led by me) is on Sunday. Take your pick. :)

For the past hour or so I've been working on tuning the rear brake, cleaning the cogs and cleaning the chain.
Also, putting in a new derailleur hanger. I got a bunch for cheap so I'm not going to bother with getting them straightened :).
My bike actually works now!
Amazing what some degreaser and a piece of metal can do...

Shucks, I won't be in town this weekend. Headed for Chicago for a little break. Definitely, let me know about the next one. Also, I've been wanting to do my second century from LA to San Diego. Last time, I ended my ride in La Jolla.
sunninho, you've missed at least the following great BikeForums-sponsored rides in SoCal so far in July/August:
July 15: Angeles Crest hilly ride (60 miles, 6000' vertical, optional extension)
July 22: (Oceanside--)Irvine--Oceanside(--Irvine) (45 miles one way, coastal route, optional extension, optional round trip)
July 30: Orange County hilly loop (metric century, 3500' vertical)
Aug 5: (Huntington Beach--)Corona--Huntington Beach(--Corona) (60 miles round trip, flat)
Aug 6: Glendora Mountain Rd--Glendora Ridge Rd--Baldy Rd (58 miles, 7600' vertical)
Just keep looking in the roadie forum... now that we've got some female roadies taking over organization, we probably will get some more rides going and better average turnout.

Road bikes? Yuck! Cool pictures none the less:) I borrowed a digital camera on the last Michigander, so I think I'll have to post some of the pics I'm not in when the person I borrowed it from gets a disc of the pictures back to me.

You must not be riding hard enough! I've hurt myself mountain biking more than any other activity I've ever engaged in so far.
Watching Bargain Hunt. I'm gonna force myself to finish mowing the back yard, I guess.:( Stupid grass!

No, they're discreetly running front brakes. There was a fixie on this last weekend's ride, also, with 3500' vertical in 64 miles. And there look to be one or two fixies at this coming Saturday's ride.
MTB, safer than road biking? Huh? More comfortable? Huh? A properly chosen and fitted road bike is extremely comfortable.
I'm still busy and I have a seminar this afternoon. I did go out last night and it was so nice and relaxing and freaking hot - did I mention freaking hot? It was hot hot.
