Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

it has been a long week of work and family matters. My brain hurts and is telling my foo addiction that sleep is needed.

Hey Gnome! My git up and go is gone as well. I opted for the two beer workout instead of the ride tonight. Gonna get in a short ride tomorrow and then a decent ride on Sunday, as there is a classic and vintage ride to a local lake for a picnic.

Ok that makes no sense. I would give you a shoulder rub but what do I get in return?
fix.
Must everything have a price? What happened to the milk of human kindness?
I did not realize that was the milk of human kindness. It went well with the Cap'n Crunch with Crunchberries.

You have reached the soft emotional center of skinnyone's heart, hence a e-shoulder rub you shall receive.

At least it was nonfat milk of human kindness.

I was planning on going for a bike ride and doing some gardening and stuff today.
But, it's hot with a strong gusty Nor'wester blowing. And it has sucked all the motivation out of me.
That sucks. Interestingly, around these parts, we have storms called Nor'easters

I have seen Chipcom, I think I can handle it

I added melted butter to it.

That is just wrong. I could see adding chocolate syrup, cuz it would go with the crunchberries, but butter?

You have never seen the Butter that Bacon, Now Bacon that Sausage episode of the Simpsons I take it.

Nope, must have missed it. Sounds like a Paula Deen recipe though.
It puts Paula Deen to shame. Homer forces Bart to butter his bacon, then wrap the bacon around a link sausage. Bart protests and Homer tells him Butter it Boy!!! As Bart eats the buttered bacon wrapped sausage he wails "my heart hurts"!

Paula pales in comparison to JoLene as well

The beer workout sounds good.:thumb: I've just got invited to a friends party tonight so now I have to decide what bike to ride. I'm thinking not the fixie despite it being fitted with a dynohub light system.
A C & V ride to a lake for a picnic sounds good too.

That quote could be used for so many things ...
as could "butter that bacon" or "now bacon that sausage". The possibilities are boundless.

My goal for next week is to try to use "butter it boy", "butter that bacon" or "now bacon that sausage" at work. Preferably in a meeting with many people.

No it blows.:D we get Nor'easters as well. Our Nor'westers are a hot, dry foehn wind that drives you mad. Our Nor'easters are a inshore, costal wind that makes otherwise warm days cool. Then there is the Southerlies. They are cold, winds blowing from Antarctica over the Southern Ocean before they hit us.:notamused: Oh and in winter we get still days with temperature inversions, so lots of smog.
As a side note. An awful lot of our streets are laid out in a North-South and East-West orinitaiton. It means that in spring and summer you spend a lot of time biking into headwinds.
I have seen Chipcom, I think I can handle it
Everyone's seen Chipcom in a dress (and worse). I don't think you could handle jsharr in a dress though.:D

This was taken on the fly on my ride today, just south of Oceanside pier. I love living close to the ocean.

I'm thinking what cheap drink to get for the party tonight.
Mead, Scrumpy Cider or Ginger wine?
Choices, choices. The wind has moderated so I am tempted to take the fixie as I then don't have to find a light set.
We're going to watch "Religulous" (http://www.religulousmovie.net/).
curious to hear how this was...got some bad reviews so far....

Sounds like it could easily lapse into over-the-top dogmatism, or would exhaust the well of thoughtful insights pretty quickly.
No. I don't plan on watching it myself.
I saw some criticisms similar to those for Michael Moore's films....

morning foo! up early on a dang saturday! kiddo just leaving to go take SAT, im getting ready to take a shower and head out for my bike ride this morning.
I'm pondering which bike to take out for today...
bit cold and I might have to carry stuff...
so the dahon with panniers will fit the bill...
... but I want to dial in the fit with the CX bike
... but I also want to test out how the new stem is on the CAAD9
... but I also want to test out the overhauled pedals on my rossin and dial in the saddle height...
so many choices... bleh
Thinking I should have got home from the party earlier. I have to get up early tomorrow morning to go tramping.
I should be ok with only 4 hours sleep. It's not like I'm fast uphill anyway.:p;)
Still the wine and party was good.:D

It was either seriously blustery out there or my legs were shot. I asked and they said F U and it seemed like a head wind everywhere. I was a full 1.25mph slower than my past few rides.
