Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I wanna go outside and practice trackstanding. What I'm actually doing is vegging.
I'm back at work after an offsite "lunch" break. Didn't actually eat... spent the time going over to the nearby Cervelo-selling LBS to get fitted on my R3 and do a quick shakedown ride. :D The bike doesn't quite float up a hill by itself, but it's awefully close to doing so. The rider on top of it, on the other hand, seems to be in need of an upgrade. Unfortunately for the bike, it's been assigned this rider, and I'm partial to keeping it that way. :D

That bike would float if it wasn't carrying so much extra weight on the saddle...:D
Friends don't let friends ride MTB's. ;)
Mtbers don't have friends, we're way too cool and hardcore to have friends.

Hey BDG! Did the guests freak out in the black out? I'm working my way through my first cup of coffee and trying to get motivated to do some work. So far it ain't working.
Pf coffee. I'm having a bawls energy drink. Sugar free tho.
Good morning, everyone. I am coming to you live from my sixth cup of coffee. It is pouring here - seriously pouring and appears it will be pouring all day. The upshot, shortly I'll be coming to you from my seventh cup of coffee.
Will you perhaps try a Monster Energy as a substitute?
Will you perhaps try a Monster Energy as a substitute?
As a substitute for coffee? There's a coffee substitute! Strikes me as very wrong.
When i first had a monster I was like 1000x more pumped up when I remember first trying coffee. At least try one:p

Why do I always forget my coffee? No wonder I have issues.

I don't drink coffee to get hyper and energetic - I drink it to stay awake. Mountain Dew used to work well as well but the darn stuff doesn't have caffeine here.

I might finally be able to buy a proper futon or platform bed frame, so I don't have to use a car jack to keep my current one from breaking in half.
Why are all futons designed around handling the weight of kids, when kids aren't strong enuogh to fold them?

It's a minor design flaw. Kinda like the tail of the Trans Ams. After a rain you have a swimming pool on it so when you open the trunk it conveniently all goes into there. Kind of a self wash feature. I guess.

Went for a small bike ride this morning. Had my coffee and some fruit. Feeling pretty good!
Last night BF and I went on a hike up Millcreek Cyn and we were hoping to summit the peak. Well, we got about half way up the trail, when we just about jumped on top of a giant moose! It was night, we had our headlamps on, we were talking, but I guess we didn't give it enough notice! We were only about 10 ft away from it, if that. Definitely the closest I have ever been to one! So he looked at us, we looked at him and after about 15 seconds that seemed to last for an hour, he finally took off up the mountain. We decided not to pursue him and we turned around.
That the second hike we've been on that was foiled by wildlife! Actually the third, we ran into a pair of bull moose on another hike a while ago, but they were much further away. Still they were blocking the trail, and I didn't want to go around them! :)

Wow - that must have been really cool in an equally freaky sort of way.

It was!!! Moose are really quite beautiful, but in that moment were you are both staring at each other, when you can't tell what he is going to do, well that is very unsettling!!! It really makes your heart stop! The scary part was that there wasn't any nearby trees to get to. You are supposed to get a tree between you and a moose if it happens to charge. There weren't any around, and if he was pissed, or if it was a mama and babies, we would have been SOL! :p

I kinda sorta freaked, but I'm pretty used to seeing moose. I basically just said " Oh god its a moose! " and then BF grabbed my arm and we slowly backed up and then he ran away. I was WAY more freaked when we had our run in with the Mountain Lion! As soon as I heard that low, primal growl, I turned on my heels and I practically ran down the trail! You are not supposed to run away from cats either, it triggers their chasing instinct!

A nature hike foiled by wildlife? I bet the moose was thinking the same thing! :p
EJ, you gotta layoff the monster energy or your heart's gonna explode.
[e]I was riding my fixie on some really tight single track when I surprised some kind of small varmint. I don't know what it was, but it sounded pretty annoyed as it ducked into the brush.

You would have wrestled him into submission in a vat of oily okra too, no doubt!
*sigh* my hero! ;)

Yeah, he wasn't very happy that we were practically on his lap. Or antlers? Have you guys seen how pretty moose antlers are? They have almost a velvety look to them.
And yeah too much of that crap with do you no good.

My son was down in Rye Beach last night and took a bunch of pix of trees and power lines down. A friend from Greenland had 10 trees down in his yard.
...meanwhile, up the road in York, just a little thunder and rain. :D

Exactly! Needless to say, I'm a bit disillusioned. That's it! I'm quitting the internet!

He can sell his fur for money!

First of its got no pockets. No pockets=no place to put money, which inreases the likelyhood of not having money to put in to said non-existant pockets. Simple logic my friend. :)

Heck yes I would. I can't imagine wrestling a furry llama in oil! At least with a nekkid llama you can slip and slide around. Just the way wrestling should be. ;)
