And some hot peppers (habeneros) that I have growing in a pot....just moved it to my sunroom so may have fresh hot peppers most of the winter :)

Hey, nice skis. I prefer snowblades (itty bitty little skis. Much fun and give you one hell of a workout), but I'm not skiing this year. I'm taking my $300 for a season pass and putting that towards some new wheels. Oh well. Have fun with your new skis. :thumb:

Wow, there's no limit to what you can do with those, what with a Triforce (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triforce) embedded into each ski!triforce... ha. yeah, i'm pretty psyched. I got them the end of last season planning to race here (MN) and now heading to CO I wish I had an all-mountain ski, not thinking these will be such a fan of the powder. Ah, well... I 'll squeeze a season out on em and invest in something else for next year if they aren't cutting it. they will be slick though :thumb:

If you enjoy skiing, you will probably love blading. Those things are so responsive and so maneuverable it's ridiculous. If where you ski has them, try them for a day. I'm sure you'll have a blast.

Just about to put the finish on an interior storm window prototype I built. Man, I love cedar, and it looks so good with a rosewood stain on it. A couple of coats of tung oil and it will be ready to glaze- just in time for the cooler weather later this week.

Now I have to get work and make the other five windows...:twitchy:

wow. I cleaned out one of our two storage units. Feels good...got rid of lots of stuff. And was veryhappy to find some old road bike mags I thought Id thrown out a long time ago.

Still have to do the second unit but am off two days this week, so gonna get on it. Not a fun job but nice when its over & done with....:)

We did that about 2 years ago and dropped a steel storage container on the property. The container is paid for and we've saved $80/mo ever since. :)


Of course now the container is crammed and I'll have to do it all over again, but at least there's no money lost until I can get to it.

We pay about $100/mo for the two units on top of our rent. Its well worth it here. But I still have way too much crap. My mom sold her house and moved some years ago so i had to go get all my old stuff and it just maxed out the storage...really dumb paying money each month to hold onto that baggage. Feels great to let it all go.

Hi Foo,

I had a pleasant Monday. Managed to get through my work nice and early so I could go coffee shopping and get shorn in the afternoon. It was nice knocking off at 3pm and going and having an ice coffee.:D It got a lot cooler once the ears were lowered though.:rolleyes:

I'm in a state of shock, a friend of mine, just died. I only knew him for about a year, hung out only a few times but he was a special person. I wish I'd gone up to wakeboard with him a few months back when he asked.

It's not even about me, honestly in general I just feel pissed. Very angry because this is bullcrap and I hate not being able to change something. I can never change this. He spent the last 2 years of his life building himself up to something better and becoming a better man so he could go on a mission. Now he's dead. I feel really bad for his very close friends and family, because this is such an intimate thing and a huge loss. Nothing can ever bring this situation back from the dark. :(

He was driving his motorcycle down a street at 12:15am, an airport shuttle pulled out of a private driveway and he broadsided it. Got flung from his motorcycle and pounded onto the ground. Dead at the scene.

I love motorcycles, but I'll never own one again. There are very few minor motorcycle accidents involving other vehicles.

Went for a 12km "training" ride at 5:00 this morning.

Got to work and found out I'd mixed my shifts up and was 7 hours early.
