Hey Texas, no Iraqis but plenty of Taliban near me. Nothing new here in Kabul other than nursing the Afghan Flu.
:D  I figure somebody who is over there could appreciate my quip
Yeah, unfortunately for the Afghans this place is one of the 5 poorest countries ever, and that includes Africa. It's a sad, dismal mess of a place and when contrasted with lexuses and MTV it's no wonder terrorists found it a ripe breeding ground. Easy to hate what you know you'll never attain.
On the up side I've only got 6 more months and then am moving to POrtland, OR.

Awwww gee. 86 posts? I need to quit posting! I'm outta here! See ya!
They even put IEDs (improvised explosive devices) into BICYCLE FRAMES here. And that is just plain wrong.

It's Friday night. It's Austin, Texas. It's 10:30 at night. What do you THINK I'm doing?
It's BEDTIME.
I realize that I am late to the party here, but...10:30 in AUSTIN on a Friday?! you should be getting your butt down to the Saxon Pub, dude!

But they're so effective. Ultra-light titanium frame with ultra-light, ultra-thin, ultra-durable optics, with minimal distortion in my field of vision since virtually all of my field of vision is covered.
But for aesthetic purposes, yes, I know, I should get new glasses.
100 posts in one thread!
I guess I'm addicted to this thread. :D

Get some CF frames w/ the same light lenses. You'll shave a few grams off and if you get a more aero profile, you'll be able to walk and ride faster.
I just ordered some eggbeaters and shoes from blueskycycling.com. Gonna be fun learning to ride clipless in the snow!
This thread pwns
Be careful with that.
I'll have to post a bunch of PWN3D pics and the thread will be locked for sure!
:)

Yum!
I'm watching Olympic coverage with my mom as my dad catches up on paperwork from his office. He usually drags it home with him. Tonight, his laptop and paperwork is in my apartment. When things look particularly exciting on TV, he stops his work and watches, too.

Learning about Cuba and having some food...
OK...good night.

Eating some grapes. My mom brought down some pretty good green grapes.
I was just looking at some pictures on my computer. Awwww, one of my cute little kitties that I haven't seen in months since I'm at school. I loves me kitties! :D :p

Alright! 6 more moths to go and you're outta there!! Just stay alert and out of trouble ;)
When you get here you should meet the Portland Area Roadies crowd. They're a lot of fun to ride and hang out with! :D
Take care of yourself
Slowly preparing for bed. It's a bit early in my mind, but my parents are konked out. If I don't sleep soon, they'll be awake and restless in the morning when I'm still asleep.
Perhaps they should try a refreshing beverage of Monster Energy.:)

Cool. :)
I'm sitting around wondering what I want to do about lunch and what to do for the rest of the day. I do need to be reachable by phone at all times, so that rules out a bike ride. My parents are gone already. Lunch probably will be leftovers from the leftovers my parents brought down yesterday. As for what to do, not a clue at this point what I'll decide.

Hey, I got to eat at Steak n Shake in Raleigh, NC, a couple of weeks ago!!
EJ how often do you drink those things? You'll have permanent twitching by the time you're 30 :p ;)
lol not that much, maybe like 3 times a week.
Funny you ask... Im having one right now LOL:roflmao:
But due to the heavy amount of surgars, I usually drink the low-carb one.
Why can't you take your cell phone with you on your bike?
I can, but reception is spotty in places, and I also prefer not to be surprised by the phone while going down a descent at 45 MPH. So I either leave my phone at home or turn it off (and carry it as an emergency aid).

My phone is off more than it's on, thankfully. Stupid cell phone! I don't know why I'm mad, tho...no one ever calls the Karldar.:(
I'm checking email and thinking about taking a nap before working out and going to work. Gotta go in early tonight.:( Maybe I'll lift and then nap.... Hmm, decisions, decisions!

I'd call you but:
1.) Your cell phone is always off.
2.) You never gave me your phone number.
3.) I don't call guys. I like it when they call me. ;)

But have you given him your phone number? How's he to call if you haven't? Of course, he'd first have to turn his phone on, too.
