Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Morning.
Tip: Don't drink on weeknights.
Tip: Talladega Nights is really funny after you've had a few. :)
I agree...monday sucked in part due to drinking earlier in the night the day before. Hangover+little sleep makes for a very cranky Catatonic-like-thing.

In case some of you dont go in the road forums, our beloved mirona got hit by a SUV a few days ago while biking.. he is fine, he is injured though. Thought id let you guys know since he does frequent foo and some of you might want to bring him words of comfort.
You can read more about the accident in road forums under the lancaster ride thread.

Ouch :(
I lurk in the road forums. There are far too many people in there waiting to look all big and important and shoot down your post for me to actually start threads there.

I seem to have to re-learn this lesson once every 2 or 3 weeks. Feeling better now that I have food in my stomach. Worst part is thinking that I paid to feel like this.

the road forum has a certain flavor to it....
As for me this is a day of hurry up and wait for antibodies to do their thing so I can see a protien on some paper. Oh and I got a parking ticket today for not being out to check my tires every 2 hrs and wipe the calk off. Summer parking fee.

Yikes! :( Thanks for filling us in, BDG. I didn't know that despite living in the road forum.
SaabFan, no need to be afraid of the road forum. We goof off there, too. If you don't believe me, just check out some of the giant SoCal threads. My Labor Day ride planning thread is probably 75% off topic.
[EDIT] Oh, and here's the link (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=219393) to the said thread in case you want to see for yourself how SoCal roadie threads degenerate. At least in this one, we're not discussing desired characteristics of a potential Mrs. jschen.
Poor Mirona! I hope he heals quickly.
Speaking of bad moods. Someone tell me something funny and interesting quick.

A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone. "Hear that?" you say. "That's dynamite, baby."
Lex, the link above has plenty of amusingly strange posts. (Yeah, it would require you to step boldly into the roadie forum.) And Brandy's sloganizer-generated messages are always a hoot.

That is excellent advice. LOL
Eboo posting helped as well because whenever she posts I think about the library person who yelled at the guys looking at porn on the library computers "Don't you have a home to do that in!" and it cracks me up - though I'm sure it doesn't sound funny in the moment it was great. Funny association sort of thing. So really it was an *insert something funny here*

Thanks, Jschen. I glance at the roadie forum from time to time and was over there a moment ago. I'm with whoever was afraid to venture talk-wise though. Eeeeeeeee. :D

I think it was the kitten death count that was bothering her actually. You wouldn't think that so many kittens die in the library but I can tell you - they do.

dude! I SO busted a guy for porn last night! Let me tell you, it's my most favorite part of this gig. "Excuse me, sir, but your raging...member...is frightening the patrons. Could you take it outside?" I'm not kidding. I love public humiliation.

That depends entirely on whether or not I was into said porn.

Picture this. You're sitting at a library desk and you look up at the computer across from you and the gentleman is clearly killing a kitten. You look over at the computer next to him and the same - no discretion whatever - and the computer next to him is a 13 year old looking at Hello Kitty stuff. Same deal with the kid's room. A line up at the third floor computers? Go to the kids room and kill a kitten. I have nothing against killing kittens whatever. I just don't think I need to watch anyone do it as I choose my reading for the week. :D

Man Ejaculates in Library, Witness Says
By Vimal Patel
February 06, 2006
A man who allegedly masturbated onto a computer screen, keyboard and chair in Morgan Library called the accusation against him a "witch hunt" by overzealous library officials.
A witness says he's sure Fort Collins resident Larry Holgerson, 48, is the man who ejaculated in Room 165 in the library late last month, according to a police report.
Police last week ordered Holgerson to appear in court. They issued him a court summons after library employee Robert Cerda identified him as the man who had used the allegedly semen-spattered computer, according to the report.
Holgerson says he was in Room 165 of Morgan Library on Jan. 27, but denies masturbating and says the accusation against him is ridiculous.
"For him to conclude that I have the ejaculatory capacity to hit the screen is ludicrous," he said in an interview with the Collegian on Friday afternoon. "At 48, I don't have the distance."
