I look at it in disgust.
Trainer hell commences.
I wonder why the trainer is hell... it's like riding up a sand bank, into the wind and on 23mm slicks.

My boss is having a Christmas party at her house for all the employees. I really, really don't want to go.
BTW, it was 75 today and it's supposed to be 32 Sunday. Typical Tennessee winter.

No, but I am in the Bible belt. And nearly everyone I know either grew up going to church or their families do, so no alcohol. Or dancing, for that matter. (Though that's not as frowned upon as alcohol.) I've been to exactly one wedding that had alcoholic beverages, and three that had dancing at the reception. I've never been to a Christmas party that had alcohol of any kind.

I find it so strange that people still buy that. I mean, beer styles were developed by monks and dancing has always been a cultural staple among most cultures...

When I was young and forced to go to church, our entire congregation had to stop wearing shorts at our picnics and other outdoor summer events. The new preacher thought shorts were evil and no one wanted to upset him. We're talking about summer...in Tennessee. 103 degrees with 75% humidity, and the kids couldn't' wear shorts. :notamused:

You have to understand, church around here isn't based on what early Christians may have done while Jesus was still around, what matters is how Christians did it in the '50s. No one remembers anything before that, and everything after that is just evil.

Looks like Jeremy Piven might be suffering from eating too much raw fish -- and maybe taking too many Chinese herbs:
UPDATED: Jeremy Piven Quits Broadway, "Extreme Mercury Toxicity"
December 18, 2008
...The doctor says that Jeremy is suffering from extreme mercury toxicity. Colker tells ET that a major symptom of mercury poisoning is extreme fatigue. In addition, Jeremy began experiencing neuro-muscular dysfunction late last week, which led to extreme difficulty in lifting his arms and legs. Then, this past Sunday, he began feeling dizzy. Now, the doctors have ordered enforced rest. Jeremy spent three days in the hospital recently and the doctor tells us exclusively that he is no longer in New York.
Colker tells ET that Jeremy has been an avid sushi eater for many years, regularly eating sushi twice in one day. He notes that Jeremy has also taken certain Chinese herbs, and that, in combination with the frequent sushi consumption, could have led to these elevated mercury levels. He informs us that a test revealed that Jeremy had the highest level of mercury that he has ever seen, which amounts to six times a healthy amount of mercury, in his system.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/12/18/jeremy-piven-quits-broadw_n_151987.html

Yep. I have a painting in my apartment of a French cafe and when my mom saw it for the first time she pointed out that there are wine bottles in a store window, and she said it as though I should be ashamed for having it. I hadn't even noticed the bottles.

You know, I'm not really sure myself. The color for one is different, but I think that its just different flavors that are staples in the curry is accentuated for each one. Red curry, the main ingredient is chilies, yellow its lemongrass, etc. I think you're supposed to add different ingredients for each one, but I always go crazy when I make curry regardless of what kind it is. Mostly I put in: garlic, ginger, onions, bell peppers, chili peppers, squash, some kind of potato, mushrooms, carrots, zucchini, coconut milk, tofu, kaffir lime leaves, lime juice, galangal, lemon grass, Thai basil, cilantro, curry paste and a tiny bit of fish sauce. Tonight I don't have any potatoes, but I have 2 different kinds of mushrooms and I added a bit of tamarind paste to it.

Oh my! What religion is she? My mom gave up on that a long time ago. They are all used to me now. But I do remember back when she gave me a hard time about it.
