You're right. How could I possibly be scared of an anthropomorphic cat whose head is roughly 1.5 times the size of its body, doesn't have a mouth, and eats through its butt?

Is your sarcasm meant to offend? Are you trying to say you don't like my avatar? I don't think someone who has fecal matter in their avatar can really pass judgement.

The big red circle and slash means it's an antifecal matter avatar, so it's okay.
And I like your avatar, juliebeanpie, just as long as it doesn't try to crush me with its massive head.

Tired of waiting on the Insurance guy so I can sign my new health policy (bike accident coverage!Yay!).
Going to ride to the bookstore/cafe instead. Don't worry, it's a thirty miler (one-way, so 60 miles total). Don't think that classifies as OCP. Especially on the anti-wieght weinie bike!:D
Major workout, here I come! Might have to reward myself with a beer after this one. TGIF, and all...
Later, Foo.

I just saw the bug man off. I'd been happier about his visit if he hadn't woken me from my nap. Now I'm trying to figure out when the hell the postage rate went up. Dammit! That's what happens when you mail two bills a month, I guess.

I just came back from donating a pickup truck full of furniture and stuff to Tona La Russa's ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation). Got rid of a table that was up against the wall so I could put my new bike rack there. Heh heh. Yep. Priorities. :D

Well this sucks. I went to get another indoor bike rack because I have bikes all over the house. Since I have no where to put said rack, I made the decision to donate a table to make room. I was going there anyway so I got together a lamp and large bags of clothes to donate. I go buy the rack, at the same time order a special hitch rack for my car, move things around a little to make a spot for this rack. (yay!) Put the rack together, position it just so and...........
The bike won't fit on the rack. The shock is in the way. So now I have a half empty rack, my bike is still in the middle of the living room and I gave away a table for nothing. And to think I had to get a special hitch rack for the same reason. I ordered the hitch rack and all (having the shock in mind) but forgot about it when I bought the indoor rack from the same store at the same time. I swear I don't know how I made it through life this long.

Not in my living room I won't. I got this for $59 on a special sale. Stupid arms are too wide for the shock. Because I have a small frame, my shock is closer to the top tube than the bike pictured.

Why not exchange it for this?

The arms on that one are too flimsy for my heavy AM bike. I don't trust it. But thanks Stacey.

I looked at the link and I still don't understand the problem, but my theory would be to custom rig something with bike hooks, 2x4's, and 3" screws.

You're welcome. That's the trouble with shopping on line... you can't get a good visual or a tactile assessment. :(

The arms of the rack are wider than the space in the frame. The shock is in the way, for it is too close to the top tube. If my frame was larger, my shock would be lower. I have a 15 inch frame.
Michigander
08-19-06, 07:53 AM
Okay, I see. Again, I must emphasize that you could custom make a rack from 2x4's that would be extremely durable. Might it be ugly? Perharps, but you could change that by painting it to match the wall.

Hmmm, it may be ugly, but how about a short length of rope with a loop on each end, rope around the frame and loops on the hooks? Hey my work stand consists two pieces of rope hanging from the basement ceiling! :D
