Foo - Whatcha doin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Oooo haven't done that in a while ... didn't know I had a pinchflat working as I was putting the tire back on the bike and of course I'm hanging down over the tire putting it on and BLAM!!!
:p Think that was the second time that I tossed the bike into the backyard and marched into the house ...
 Unfortunately, I don't have a back yard to toss the bike into.

Finally... a clear picture of Lamplight.
:D
And all this time I thought Lamplight was blonde. :p
:innocent: There was this time I went out to the clubs then - disco balls, the fake fog rolling across the floor and my date in a paisley tight polyester shirt open at the collar, tight bell bottom pants ------ and platform chues .....

Would those have been Angels Flight pants?
Well, Colorado, it's been fun, but I'm sad to say that... well, I'm leaving you. Don't cry! It's not you, it's me. I just don't live here, so this relationship was doomed to eventually fail. I'll remember the good times, and who knows? I may return someday. Until then, hasta la vista, mon ami.

Believe me when I tell you...these ambushes are not planned. Best to just enjoy life and all will fall in place.
I used to hate when people consoled me with "there is someone for everyone out there". But if there is someone for me, with all of my quirks, then you will be just fine my unsafe friend. Just fine.:)
Don't rush yourself. I've only been single for going on four decades before now.
edit: Some advice...happiness is a conscious decision. Once made, the effect is contagious and spread airborne. Just a reminder to shine that awesome light you have hidden there buddy. I hid mine for so long the damn bulb almost burned out.

I got blasted by a cold my brother had, but it's pretty short lived luckily. Must have been pretty contagious, because I have been very careful lately. I used up one of my last 35 vicodens, so bye bye sore throat and headache. :thumb:

I have a big pot of bolognese sauce simmering on the stove and am sipping a French martini. Life is good.
I don't want to go back to work on Monday. I'll have to start buying those lottery tickets I guess.

Eh, it's just a weak one. I got prescribed 2 every 4 hours after I got hurt. If I take one, it's just enough. Haven't had any in about 5 months, so 1 is plenty, but it doesn't exactly make me buzzed. Only slightly more clumsy.

Languishing in the warmth of my home after tonight's ride home from the shop... with the wind chill factored in it is -36.
But it gets better...tomorrows low is supposed to be -45 which is something like -65F and by Monday we are supposed to see temperatures above freezing.
All in all it was a nice cold weather test of my longbike although that saddle with the cutout has to go if I plan to ride it any more in these temps.
:D
ah, the great prairies... such extreme temperature fluctuations
I've realized I have a 3-sp sitting in the garage...
I should do something with it.

Since I will not brush his teeth, he had them removed as they were pretty bad and the gums were inflamed.

They can make excellent winter bikes...with synthetic oil in the hub and synthetic grease in the bearings they will run as smoothly at -40 as they do on warm summer days.

-40C = -40F
-41C is colder than -41F
Just finished lacing up the other wheel to the set I laced up last night watching Penn State fall (while having to listen to Brent (USC is the greatest thing since sliced bread) Mussberger call the game. I never could stand the guy, but last night was the worst ever. (sorry for the tangent)
Anyhow, tomorrow I'll finish truing them both up, and will have a set of track wheels all ready to go. New, black, Dimension hubs with practically new, black, Ambrosio, Montreal Medaille d' Or, tubular rims with double butted spokes. :)
See ya, x! Is was great hanging out with you! We'll have to do it again. Have a safe drive back. Watch out for those deer!... :pHey, thanks for having me. I had fun. :) No run-ins with deer on the way back, just the Larimer County Sheriff and various forms of scary weather. (I survived both intact)
blurg. I missed it!! You'll be back. most people don't even end up leaving here the 1st time... :DHell yeah I will be. :) If it weren't for the prospect of a 16.5 hour each way commute (longer if I bike commute), and all of my stuff being in California, I'd probably be back after staying the weekend in Salt Lake City. :P

Please thank Cole of Denver, for having an unsecured network. So long as people subscribe to "Security Through Obscurity" or "What's Security?", you'll have yourself a connection to the vast internets. So bravo for Cole's ignorance!

One of my older cats (18 in June) lost one of her fangs a while back, and went by "Bernie three teefs" (replacing the old "Bernie two collars" moniker, which dated back to her really not liking getting a new flea collar on, so it was all we could do to add the new to the old) for a while. Her brother just has incredibly awful death breath.

My boys are both 8. And considering that they are both "mutt" cats, they sure have had extensive vet bills over the years. :notamused:

Actually, they don't. The beauty of being a cat is they could care less. As long as there's food in the bowl and a warm place to sleep, they're happy. Life should be so simple.
what a tank that CCM is.
- 36h front and rear with more than enough spokes out of tension that a normal weenie wheel from today would go out of true...
- tyre that refuses to come off and seems to be fused to the tube...
- 3~4 chain links that are completely rusted and won't budge at all even with copious amounts of WD-40
other than the chain, nothing rusted in place with the best working and looking item being the 3sp SA hub.

I guess I'll leave the 3sp for a later time in the week. today I am tired of trying to get everything to work on it.
Went for a short walk in the falling snow, and now I'm sitting in a warm room with a snowy window, browsing Foo, watching The Simpsons on DVD, and eating some yummy snacky food.
