I just swapped out the cross lever on my fixie w/ a Cane Creek cross lever and readjusted my brakes so they look more symmetrical. Can't ride, but I can still tinker. :)

I twisted my knee playing soccer and strained the quad muscles last week so right now I can't walk up stairs or apply too much pressure using the quad muscle. So no riding until the leg can at least take my weight. :( I'm icing it down now cuz it's still swollen around the knee. It's getting better though so hopefully this week I'll be able to ride.

Ha...this reminds me of the time I was with my high school bf, and he got a flat tire. We were coming from one of my tennis matches. He didn't know how to change a flat. Me, being a proper-right farm girl, could change one in the dark. So there I was, on the highway, changing the flat in my tennis skirt. I appriciate the idea, but I don't really want to be "rescued" :) Maybe I should go rescue a gallant, mechanically challenged fellow...

Haven't you guys ever had your moms make you the awesomeness that is boiled cookies? I wonder about you people sometimes, I really do....*shakes head*

Boil some chocolate in a pot on the stove(make your own) for a minute or so, remove from heat, add lots of oats, peanut butter if you like, and a little vanilla extract. Mix well. Lay out some wax paper and drop globs of molten goodness on it, or do like me and just spread out a whole sheet of it, let cool(the longest part of the process), then chow down. I like a big glass of milk with mine.:D Easy as pie!

i'm doing great! and by great i mean that i writhe around in agony because it feels like someone is constantly digging a rusty spoon into my ribs/shoulder. i'm tired, sore and can't see straight. it hurts to be awake and i can't sleep. other than that, i'm just peachy :o

Just got back from a free community concert... saw the Daisy Jug Band (http://www.daisyjugband.com/). It was great! I saw them years ago in NJ then earlier this week noticed an ad in the free paper that comes out on Tuesday and had to go again.

Nothing fancy, just a bunch of guys having fun making good down homey music.

If you ever get the chance to see them, don't miss it. :D

Nothing entertaining to do. Don't have any movies I haven't already watched more than once. Don't have any books I haven't already read. Don't have the tools to finish building my new bike. More or less done cleaning, except for the bathroom and I can do that tomorrow. Laundry's done. Dishes are done. Bills are paid.

Is there such thing as an itunes type site for movies?

OMG. Just went around for four hours looking at houses again. I'm really tired of this. I'm getting burnout bigtime. Why do all of these people insist upon doing upgrades the cheap way, and then asking big bucks for the house? Even the broker was laughing at me because I spotted this and he was in full agreement with me. Do people really think buyers are THAT stupid?

Obviously re-doing a hardwood floor (different woods)and then trying to get away with calling it original isn't going to cut it in my book. Or having some type of tile put over linoleum, and not having a transition (so the linoleum shows) between the rug and tile. Patching up walls and not re-texturing it. Water damage in the wood floor and saying it was bad polishing (the floor was BLACK) and asking $1.2 million. No wonder the house has been on the market for three months.
