Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I don't blame them for getting angry. Do you know that raw eggs can really damage a cars' paint if not removed soon? Bad bad bad, NoF3ar. *shakes finger* Shame on you.

Thats why she was so mad, if they had dried the paint would have been screwed over. Were lucky they caught it so fast. No more pranks for johnny :o

Then the decals would be orange and grey on a cream frame.
But it still hurts. Do you think half would be okay?
Strip the decals off, take all the components off, send the frame to a frame painter and have it painted metallic orange w/ gold flakes. If you absolutely need to identify it as a Kona, have the frame painter paint Kona on in metallic green or something. Then put everything back on and ride.
As for the vicodin, IANAD so follow the prescription is what I usually do. Or put an icepack on your bulging disk.

we got the brilliant idea of egging our friends car. So we egged it, and I put tooth paste under all the handles. After I dropped 2 people off, me and another dude went back with more eggs.
With friends like you, who needs enemies?

We've all toilet papered eachothers cars in one night. It was sposed to be funny. We didn't know eggs could damage haven't you read what I said?
Umm, thanks for sharing.
Hey, that's what I happened to be doing at the time while on bikeforums. :) Could've been worse...

Yup, I read it. I just didn't see the humor. How is egging a car funny? What's funny is taking dog doo and putting it under the door handles. Now that's funny! And it also costs less. :D

You got me even in your vicodin induced stupor. How 'bout you just paint your nails orange and ride your bike?

It was funny while we were doing it. Just no one else thought it was funny :( I swear though, any time we do something like this. While were doing it, we can stop laughing hysterically. One dudes car, we through toilet paper on the car. We poured a bag of sugar on top and we put maple syrup on the handles and wind shield wipers.

Oh, yeah, Siu, I've got free long distance so go ahead and give me your number. I probably won't ever call since I work nights and can never keep the time zones straight. I wouldn't want to disturb you and your Vicodin...unless you needed me to drive your car.:D I think you know which one....;)

No...what's REALLY funny is hiding perforated bags of frozen shrimp inside the wheel covers.
:)
Eating breakfast. Trying a different bread that my mom and one of my sisters really like since my preferred line of bread is no longer readily available around where I live. I need to decide by this weekend since if I like it, my parents will take me to Costco to get a bunch when I go home. So no jelly today... would cover up the taste and texture of the bread too much.

:roflmao: What can I say, I like food as evidenced by the extra lbs I'm carrying around. That's why I cringe at the thought of wasting perfectly good eggs and shrimp on messing up people's cars.
To stay on topic, I'm freezing my arse off right now cuz the boiler in my apt. bldg. went down again and they haven't come by to turn it back on. To top it all off, it's like 20F outside and it's approaching that inside. I have half a mind to bake a pie (chicken pot pie?) or cake (chocolate lava?) or cook a roast pork loin just to get some heat up in here.
I'm about to go price and get ideas for award designs....in the icy snow....and maybe get another cup of coffee....in the icy snow....and maybe visit a travel agent to escape the icy snow. *sigh*

:roflmao: Well, it'd save me the trip, but if you want to eat healthy, get some zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms, garlic, olive oil, and smoked bacon. The garlic, smoked bacon and mushrooms basically give the dish a lot of flavor and mask the fact that you're eating mostly vegetables and pasta. Also, if you mix bacon and mushrooms into something like a spinach salad, it give it a "meatier" flavor, again masking the fact that you're eating mostly vegetables.
Thanks! Tonight I am having mahi mahi and stir fry with the veggies you have listed above...yumm! What are we having for dinner tomorrow night?

I am waiting for rice cooker to do its thing before finishing dinner...what y'all up to?
Sounds good... maybe I should drop by Hickory, NC and knock on your door and ask to be fed.
I am feeling a bit dumb since a brain fart led to a chain of decisions in the lab that compromised my plans for the day. To make matters worse, the 7 milligrams I was working on (0.000015 pounds) is all I had of that material. I get really annoyed when my coworkers make such mistakes. I get even more annoyed when I'm the one who makes such mistakes.
Oh well, it happens to everyone once in a while.

Oh well it could have been worse. As I'm heading home along side a busy access road this lady decides that, since the traffic has started moving she'd quick dash in. Needless to say we both applied the brakes rather quick. Thankfully she saw me and was quick on the breaks or else it would have been shikabob me.

hahaha. Actually she was very nice. The minute she saw me coming at her she slammed on the breaks and put her hand up to show that she was sorry. I don't see alot of cyclists considering this is a town that has 1.5 million people approximately, however for the most part I have few problems with rude drivers. Most of the time its just people that are in a hurry and just are not paying enough attention. This area I cross is really really bad. But the only alternative is having to cross a 3 - 4 lane access road and I just got tired of looking over my back as I crossed over

Actually, the 7 mg I had went into my reaction where I suffered my brain fart. So no more left, other than a perhaps 20 ug (microgram) reference sample. Fortunately, this experiment wasn't of particularly high priority, though it would have been nice. It was my first thing to do today despite its low priority only because my more important reactions will run overnight anyway, so there's no hurry to set them up.

yea! that is fun to do! do you have a way-back machine too?

 I hate having to cross lanes like that. If I can't find a gap where I clearly can do it in one go, I try to avoid crossing multiple lanes. Too high a risk of not being seen by someone going very fast and not seeing you even if you're in the middle of the lane.
Of course, it doesn't help that most of the places where I cross multiple lanes in my normal routes all involve highway speeds. Some nastier examples: Three lane 50 MPH road (not unusual to be going 65-70 MPH) curving to the right (makes it even harder to see cars coming) on the way in to work. Two lane 65 MPH (yeah, right) freeway exit, expanding to four lanes, on my half century loop. Two lane 60 MPH highway after cresting a hill on my hilly metric century loop. Three lane 65 MPH highway on the return portion of the same loop. Happily, in all these cases, gaps generally form, and if not, there's always the crosswalk.

Haha yeah. This is the access road to San Pedro. Everybody coming off of loop 1604 and heading into san antonio HAS to go over this stretch of road. Everybody wanting to get onto south 281 has to get onto this stretch. And anybody frequenting the hundreds of businesses around the area are there

Just got an e-mail response from my first steady girlfriend (way back in 1993) since I had wished her a happy birthday earlier today. Glad to see she's having a pretty good day (aside from having to study for a microbiology exam). Though we have stayed good friends through the years, we haven't seen each other since graduating from high school, even though she now lives three blocks from where my parents live and I've been curious to meet her husband sometime.
