Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I also had to get my kid to a football game so she could cheer, got stuck in traffic , once we got there ( and it was one hour away) the game was not even 10 seconds in that this kid broke his arm, took about 30 minutes to get him to a hospital, the game started again just to be cancelled because of a thunderstorm!!! so back in the car for another hour drive!
yep, that's my saturday night!

Poopy and Ritehsedad, I'd looooooooooooove to wax your bikes. It's like therapy to me. Calms me down. I love detailing things.

My century ride went great today. Beautiful day, good company and a good ride. But there was 6,800 feet of climbing!!! Holy crap!! It was pretty darn hilly. But I had a lot of fun and it was for a worthy cause. Gotta get some sleep now...I'm sooooo tired.

I jogged 4 miles earlier and didn't even get winded. This getting good at running thing is getting less tiring and more time consuming.

Great! That means you are really conditioning yourself! I keep trying to climb with asthma and it just keeps happening more often. :(

That sucks. At least your not in south east michigan. The air here is almost as bad as LA.
Mmm. Relaxing after El Azteca. Dos tacos con refrito frijoles.

ha ha. That reminds me. I locked my training partner with his issued cuffs to his desk and went home.
Explody and cycle17, congrats on your centuries.
I've been lazy this week, so my real test of the Michelin Pro2 Race tires will be at tomorrow's group ride, some hilly training for the Poway century on Oct 1. (Not too hilly by my standards, but pretty hilly for some of the others.) And for me, I really need to get some mileage in to be loose for the Grand Tour Lite double metric on Sept 24.
Anyway, after work, hung out with my sisters a bit. One of them is staying with me for a month, and another is visiting for the weekend. I took them out for a nice dinner. Having them around is not good for my riding, but nonetheless it's a great way to spend time.
I'm off to bed soon since I have to get up early to get to the group ride.
I'm just now coming off an adreniline dump an hour before the end of my shift that caused me to stay an hour late. Oh well, at least I have the best stats for the month at work now. :D

As I've stated many times before, I should invite myself over to BDG's place for food. Nachos, pasta, all sorts of goodies. Same with Liz's place. Didn't she say she would leave some of some fish dish for me a while back?
Anyway, good morning, you two!

I'm heading out the door after this post. Another SoCal BikeForums group ride to attend. They tend to be in Orange County, so I have a bit over an hour of driving to do to get there.

Slept until 10 am today! Wow! I guess I was tired. Had my breakfast and I'm trying to decide if I should do a nice 10 mile recovery ride after the tough century I did yesterday. Gotta be done by 12:30 though....football is on today. Fooooo Whoooo! I feel pretty good though. New wheelset is in, I pick it up Monday after work and I'm still waiting for my old wheels to come back under warranty from Bontrager.
P.S. just read this morning that Michael Schumacher is retiring from F1 after this season. It's about time...what a POS he is.
